Historia
A business parable about how to create a start-up that won't trap you when you want to sell it. According to John Warrillow, the number one mistake entrepreneurs make is to build a business that relies too heavily on them. Thus, when the time comes to sell, buyers aren't confident that the company-even if it's profitable-can stand on its own. To illustrate this, Warrillow introduces us to a fictional small business owner named Alex who is struggling to sell his advertising agency.

Rather get the kindle
Revisado: 11-20-15
This book is great! As a business owner who got stuck into the trap of *being* the business, the concept really spoke to me. But the Nasally twang of the reader was so distracting I nearly couldn't finish it.
Rather read the book and then get John's "Automatic Customer" which is also very good, and read in a less distracting way!

Historia
Winner of the 2013 Financial Times and Goldman Sachs Business Book of the Year Award. Amazon.com started off delivering books through the mail. But its visionary founder, Jeff Bezos, wasn't content with being a bookseller. He wanted Amazon to become the everything store, offering limitless selection and seductive convenience at disruptively low prices. To achieve that end, he developed a corporate culture of relentless ambition and secrecy that's never been cracked. Until now...

A fascinating story, very well told.
The challenges and battles of Amazon in the early years were interesting. Anyone in a startup will be able to relate and learn from Jeff's example.

WARNING: Fanboy review
Revisado: 11-20-15
Have you listened to any of Fred Sanders’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, but I enjoyed his reading. He did a decent job of the South African accent (being South African, it sounded slightly off, but only noticeable to a native speaker)
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
YES! I had to drive around the block a few times and hope for traffic on the way to work to listen more.
Any additional comments?
Fascinating insight into the personal life of a very private person. As someone who has worked in a lot of IT startups, I found his early story especially interesting (it may bore some who are not into IT though :)

Useful information for anyone starting out a network marketing business.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Go Pro - 7 Steps to Becoming a Network Marketing Professional?
Its great when authors read their own books, but the best part was where you got to hear young Eric's actual talk from a meeting! Goosebumps!

Historia
An incredible but true account of achieving one of the most awe-inspiring midlife physical transformations ever. In October 2006, the night before he was to turn 40, Rich experienced a chilling glimpse of his future. Nearly 50 pounds overweight and unable to climb the stairs without stopping, he saw where his sedentary lifestyle was taking him. Most of us look the other way when granted such a moment of clarity, but not Rich.

Have you listened to any of Rich Roll’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've listened to most of Rich Roll's podcasts, so it was great to hear his familiar voice reading his own book. I really appreciate writers who have the guts to read their own book, and in this case it makes the story much more personal and involving.

Historia
Kevin Mitnick was the most elusive computer break-in artist in history. He accessed computers and networks at the world’s biggest companies—and however fast the authorities were, Mitnick was faster, sprinting through phone switches, computer systems, and cellular networks. He spent years skipping through cyberspace, always three steps ahead and labeled unstoppable.

I loved the way this book was read, the subtle accents, and the conversational style made it feel like Mitnick was talking to you over the phone :P oh and the occasional *relevant* swearing is just hilarious. The storyline is captivating (By the end I could hardly put it down). One of my fav audible books of all time.

He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Epic story, but some confusion with voices
Revisado: 04-09-13
If you could sum up Dune in three words, what would they be?
Enthralling Epic Escapism
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I was hooked from the first word. It was great to have a different reader for each character, but at some points they seemed to switch the narrator for a character which totally changed the effect of the story - the voice didn't match up with the character you had created in your minds eye. Disappointing, but the overall story was still brilliant. Thoroughly recommended.

Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs, and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why.
