This was so good. You think you know the story, but you don't there was so much more going on. it adds so many layers. highly recommend for hunger games fans. The narrator is not my favorite but he grew on me.

Once Upon A Time made me like Rumplesilsken as hero or anti-hero until you get past season 3 than he is just a villian. This is a nice twist on the classic tale making him a heroic charater again. Fair warning it is a little dark. I don't like though how the dark ones, the bad guys, have no weaknesses. I always hate when villains are over power it makes it so less interesting. Also for performance, it might just be me but in certain spots it sounded like another person was reading and changed back to original narrator. this happened randomly multiple times. Still I will read the sequel as I want the Erlking defeated or punished.

Good Fantasy, but the pacing

So it is really an interesting story. It took me a bit to understand the world and spindles as no one says exactly what they are clearly. my only problem is pacing. There was too much unnecessary elements and just when the story was finally getting somewhere, it changes perspective to a less interesting plot. there are six different perspectives in the book.
