LOVE this book! EVERY book in this series and the thrusters series.. ok every Pippa Grant book I’ve listened to this far (currently on a Pippa binge).. But omg I’m not even through this one all the way and needed to write a review. Oh how so many of us can relate to this mom’s hot mess life. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve raspberried a laugh out loud and a few minutes ago I literally spewed soda out my mouth and nose I laughed so hard! This book is so good and funny and relatable (the mom-life not the hot rockstar part) and just lovable.. you won’t regret the credit I promise!

Maybe it’s because it’s been so long since I listened to the last Steel story, maybe it’s because I was confused at first because technically this story should have come before Bree and Ranger’s story.. or maybe it was Tris’ constant whining that just got to be so annoying.. I don’t know this book had me ready to put it down so many times. Maybe I should have gone back and listened to some of the previous books but I feel like I remember them pretty well and this one just fell on the side of confusing and annoying for me.. I LOVE Troy Duran, and Mateo’s character was great. But they were both up and down left and right and maybe that’s how it was supposed to feel due to Tris’ mental illness which we learned in Bree’s story is bipolar disorder.. maybe that was exactly the point- to put the reader right into the middle of the emotional chaos that can be a part of untreated mental illness.. if that’s the case then the writer was spot freaking on. As for me? Didn’t love it.. the Steel family is great I’ve loved all the books so far- this one just didn’t do it for me at all.. except for Troy’s voice- he always does it for me- only reason I finished the book..

Love the romance with a bit of mystery

Ok so over all I’ve really enjoyed this series.. my favorite is when we go back and hear all about brad steel love story. Bawled my eyes out at the end of that!! Well that and Troy Duran is my absolute favorite so might have something to do with it. I’m almost to the end of Flame- and I just have to add a bit of criticism because that’s only fair right??
I have to say the whole gotta leave her because I love her nonsense started to get old in Dale’s & Ashley’s story (maybe even before that too) and now brother Donny is about to pull the same bs with his lady Cali. I understand there’s gotta be relationship patterns in order to match the series and the balance of suspense and mystery throughout the series has been absolute perfection. Just this one piece that repeats throughout the series: leave because I love- I could do without.. that’s my only complaint!

Awwww love, laughs, and even a few tears

Loved this story, and the narrators killed it! The female narrator did read some in third person while male did not but that was easily ignored.. there was some action, sporting, lots of love and definitely steamy, and toss in a little suspense. Definitely worth the credit

Need more!!

Omg I have not been able to stop listening to this series!! I so with there were more audiobooks! Each book is a standalone but you will get to know each character and they all end up playing a part in each book so I’m glad I listened from the beginning.. Troy Duran is just perfect! I’m running out of books to listen to that he narrates because he’s all I’ve been able to listen to for months now. You will not be disappointed by Hunter’s story in book 14 or any of the others! Get ready to fall in love and lust with the to die for males, the awesome females, and Troy Duran’s captivating (and panty melting) voice!

I was skeptical with some of the bad reviews but I actually really enjoyed this book. I have been listening to every book narrated by Troy Duran for several months now so had to listen to this one too.. but this was a good one. The female narrator isn’t my favorite but Troy makes up for it

DYING FOR THE NEXT BOOKS!!

I honestly finished this series and nearly started it all over again! Thats how amazing this story is!! I haven’t started a series over since twilight in my early 20’s (when all I had for those books were paperbacks! Haha) anyway- Troy Duran is just incredible! The female narrator is dynamite as well! And the storyline! Omg after writing this review I may just need to start listening at book one all over again anyway because seriously it’s just that amazing!

Just the best!

I started listening to this series because Troy Duran is my guilty pleasure at the moment.. but what a story! Amazing performances!! Amazing writing!! I’ve already listened to all of the following available books in the series but had to start here with a review because hopefully it will encourage others to listen to this amazing series as well! Once you hear the first book there’s no chance in hell you won’t be staying up all night for every book in the series! (And did I mention Troy Duran? Is it possible to have an orgasm just from the sound of someone’s voice? Nearly! Lol)

Could not finish…

I really tried.. even changing the reading spread to chipmunk style and skipping through some parts. I’ve always loved Jacob Morgan but the female narrator is really just terrible. I wanted to get through this knowing Troy Duran narrates the next 2 books in the series but I just can’t get through this. Not sure I have ever listened to a book I seriously couldn’t finish.. but- there’s a first time for everything.. I should have listened to other reviews.. save yourself the credit and skip this one..
