Oh I loved this one, more than the first. The action just kept on coming, the hits, the wins. the loss, the plots ever changing, ever different POV.

Just when you think you can breath BAM.

There are characters I have became fully invested in, some I feel sorry for, some I dont trust. I'm literally yelling at Zelia and Amara. lol

I look forward to starting the third book which I'm off to do right now.

Great adventure.

I really enjoyed this book, the only reason for a 4 star was there were times I felt we lingered too long on a point, or kept coming back to it. understanding why the suthor wrote the book I understand why but it took away some of the enjoyment on my end.

Otherwise the story and world building was amazing. The adventure keeps you wanting more, there are four characters paths you follow and here from their POV. There is enimies, loss, family, friendship and a sprinkle of forbidden/enemies to lovers.

I look forward to listening/reading (as I switch between both) and look forward to it being brought to screen. :)

Fun adventure

POTENTIAL SPOILERS:

CONS: unfortunately this book did not captivate me as much as the first one did. it took longer to get started 9 chapters before we were back in the LOS and 17 before the real adventure began.

There was alot of back story told upfront instead being unveiled throughout the story and it got boring waiting for something to happen.

PROS; However once it did it got really good. Mother goose was funny character, I liked the introduction to new characters and listening to old one come back. There was growth between characters and the end was heartwarming and sad all at the same time.

would I listen again? if my kids wanted to again.
would I recommend? yes but be patient.

The story was there, unfortunately the execution was not.

I was instantly drawn in with the emotion and drama of the new Luna and Alpha in trainings relationship, the idea of what the could be but being distant and off.

I do not blame the Luna leaving at all but it was there thing took a turn for me.

It isn't secret baby, more like child and unknown. Her human bf give me the chills. And the alpha was so accepting when he found out about the child, I mean I suppose he was trying to win her back but really who is that cool over it.

For me the story was lacking so excitement, desire, and lost my interest. :(

Sherlock Holmes in the now,

"Nessie's Nemesis" is a good, clean mystery, if a little slow. A modern-day Sherlock Holmes tale set in the present day, with traditional aspects of Holmes take on crime-solving. The absence of blood and gore, as well as explicit sexual content, makes this mystery suitable for a wide audience.

The story shares secret love, suspects, assumed identity and crime. There is meticulous detailing throughout, which I got bored of listening to at times but it is a crime investigation, you need to know the charcaters thought process.

I am also confused about the rudeness of every server in the story, why it was such a detail required in the story.

Overall the story delivered well, was a classic story telling and I'm sure enjoyable to readers preferring this genre.

It's not the worse story line. Story of Selene as she uncovers who is she and why she can not remember anything, the book is full of horney characters, jokes and comments being the main conversation when it wasn't a dramatic fight the bad guys scenes. There is a bomb that gets dropped, and unanswered questions that make you want to know more, but I feel it struggled to know what to focus on. What truths to uncover. background stories to share, ect.

Unfortunately the audiobook also had a few errors such as, multiple lines being repeated, and sometimes being said in the wrong characters voice before being repeated in the correct voice.

Omg gut twister

Omg this was amazing, Join the story as Evelyn decides to take a break from her misfortunes to have the most steamy, fun weekend over Christmas, to then have that romance and fuzzy feeling ripped from you, to then be thrown a curve ball as her reality bends, and she has to decide which path to follow and will there be a happy ending.

I am so surprised at how many feels I got from this book and litteral LOL.

I highly recommend.

An engaging book for younger readers.

This is not my usual fantasy go to, but it is a good book for those looking for a clean, easy to follow fantasy book.

Giving that the main characters are 13 year old, i feel that the story line fits with that age group and I appreciate that.

The story holds an interesting plot, everyone can have a different power that is unknown until ceremony. Children become quick adults as they train at an academy and are faced by enemies. Friendships build and are tested.

A coming of age story, that explore the trails of changes in a fantasy world.

A sweet variation, that also stayed true to many original factors.

I was unsure about this when I first began listening to it, but actually I really enjoyed this variation. I also felt that there was more to Elizabeth and Darcy love story shown in this variation and honestly want more! Mr Bingham got a more deserving ending, it fun, fluffy, lighthearted romance story any Darcy lover is bound to enjoy.

A great introduction to Fantasy

This book is a great book for readers (especially younger) that are looking to be introduced to fantasy without the romance, or graphic violence.

The Burden of Destiny has family secrets, trials of friendship, magic and trust, the classic evil characters and adventure.

Any reader can join along as they follow Isobel who discovers who she is as she embarks on her biggest journey of her life yet.
