Historia
In a rare window into some of her life’s pivotal moments, Melinda French Gates draws from previously untold stories to offer a new perspective on encountering transitions. Melinda will reflect on some of the most significant transitions in her own life, including becoming a parent, the death of a dear friend, and her departure from the Gates Foundation. The stories she tells illuminate universal lessons about loosening the bonds of perfectionism, helping friends navigate times of crisis, embracing uncertainty, and more.

What matters most is what you choose to do with your NEXT DAY!
Revisado: 05-01-25
Melinda shares many of her transitions in life from divorce to leaving the foundation. It is both inspiring from a memoir perspective but also as a way to frame all of our transitions. We don’t have much control about the life transition, but we do have control over what we choose the NEXT DAY!
I can attest I’ve used the powerful tool of perspective to restart and architect a life that is evolved. I document it in my book, Look Up-Global Stories of Resilience. However, I’m joined by nearly 2 dozens others to showcase the strength of the human spirit.

Authentic Story of Triumph - Inspirational
Revisado: 02-10-16
Would you consider the audio edition of When All Balls Drop to be better than the print version?
You certainly get a better sense in the audio version as the author is also narrating. The tone of voice and even humor comes through loud and clear.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Other than the author, I enjoyed many of the characters. Each added something special from the pets, Meg and Kasha, and Dr. R to the brace man.
Have you listened to any of Heidi Siefkas’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, but I hear that the second book With New Eyes: The Power of Perspective is coming out in audio too.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listened to it on a plane. However, it could be done in multiple sittings because of the short vignettes or like I did, all in one sitting.
Any additional comments?
Bravo! Looking forward to With New Eyes and future books.

Historia
Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. This long-suppressed parable, once considered too controversial to publish, was written by Hill in 1938 following the publication of his classic bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Annotated and edited for a contemporary audience by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Three Feet from Gold coauthor Sharon Lechter, this book is profound, powerful, resonant, and rich with insight.

Timeless story of tapping into the power of thought
Revisado: 01-08-16
I agree with many of the take-always of this book: live with purpose, power of thought, surround yourself with positive associations, and turn adversity into an opportunity. As a survivor of adversity and choosing to see the upside, I share some of the same messages in my books: When All Balls Drop & With New Eyes.
However, this was very long-winded. In fact, the dialogue between Hill & the Devil was very repetitive. Although I enjoyed hearing the editor's comments, I think it interrupted the story for me. I would suggest a shorter version and editorial add-ins less frequently.
In staying with the power of thought, here's to looking up!
