The females voice! Oof!

The Female narrator was not great. She would be much better for maybe a reading a kids book. It’s very high pitched. Males voice isn’t too great either but, no where near as annoying. The female character was kind of dense and not likable. It was a good story but, all in all got a little annoying.

If you are into cheesy, albeit sweet but, unrealistic rom cons. You’ll really enjoy it. It’s a cute story and very steamy. A little slow at first when they are establishing the main characters but once the story gets going it holds your attention. I am into very serious romance books some of which can be dark. I liked this as a lighthearted funny break of sorts from my usual audiobooks. It’s your classic enemies to lovers trope and has a happy ending. The only things that bothered me was how unrealistic it is but, that being said most good rom coms are like that lol. The narrators were great! It’s Worth a credit if you are looking for a lighthearted enemies to lovers story.

Honestly this audiobook... I give it 5 out of 5 eye rolls. It’s laughable how cheesy it is. I feel nothing for either of the main characters. Our “hero” is a rapist and the heroine is a pushover with zero personality. The voice actors aren’t great. Especially the female. She basically whispers the whole time until she yells. So RIP earpod users. Just... ick.

Loved the story. However I was sad that we couldn’t hear more from Walts point of view.... until the epilogue when I actually heard the male narrators voice. Then I was relieved

The male character came on a bit strong and sudden. But, the feelings were reciprocated by the female character and I’m not sure why all these reviews say he’s a creep..? I thought it was a cute little story. And as for people saying it’s ‘raunchy’, they clearly have very prudish tastes lol.

The performance!

The narrator is TERRIBLE!!!!! Her accents are all over the place. It’s so hard to listen to. She makes the Hero sound like an old man and Theresa sound like an old woman with speech impediment. I honestly can’t stand it.

The heroine in this story is a two timer and just an annoying push over. She has a perfectly handsome, sweet man who she is cheating on with her neighbor who has constantly hurt her. She’s an idiot. Besides all that the narrator is awful too. Don’t waste your time like I did.

Ending a little rushed

The hero in this story is cruel. Which I usually like because that makes the part where the hero finds out he’s in love really good. However, there wasn’t enough groveling at the end on his part. At least it seemed like that to me. No real big grand gesture or obvious change of character to win our heroine back. Just an apology and persistence. In the end the writing was convincing enough For the reader to believe that he had changed but, I still think the heroine took him back far too quickly. Other than that I liked it.
