How could the performance have been better?

The range of voices was comical rather than believable.

Any additional comments?

This story is more of a study in sociology. I wish Sci-fi had a sub-genre that focused more on social consequences rather than technology. You could throw Red Mars into that genre too.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes. The book was fast paced and enjoyable

Any additional comments?

This is an easy listen. It is not heady as the title might suggest, but doesn't lack in unexpected twists. It was fun to speculate on the implications of placing oneself into superposition.

Any additional comments?

This book started off very well. I was quite excited with where it was going; about halfway I felt it derailed. It was still worth the listen.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Perversions aside, this book would have been better classified as a YA novel rather than a science fiction work. There wasn't an ounce of science. The fantasy realm felt very juvenile.

What was most disappointing about Jeff Noon’s story?

The Vurt world was un-fascinating. The lust-infused world fell flat.

What about Maggie Mash’s performance did you like?

She was all-around good.

Was Pollen worth the listening time?

Nope. difficult to finish as I lost interest in the Alice-In-Wonderland parallel universe

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was over before it began. No time commitment at all

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I was interested in the subterranean survival and how the androids gained sentience. The fantasy portion felt entirely too corny.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator was in character, but I couldn't suffer it. Most annoying voice EVER

Did Kyrathaba Rising inspire you to do anything?

Not download any more short books

Any additional comments?

It was too fast-paced. More explanation and character development would have gone a long way. It was a fun premise, but the execution was more young-adult than I had hoped for.
