Historia
Alex Miller is a criminal defense lawyer leading the life he always imagined. At thirty-five, he is the youngest partner at New York City's most prestigious law firm, with a beautiful wife and a perfect daughter. When Alex's father suddenly passes away, Alex is introduced to Michael Ohlig, a rich and powerful man who holds an almost mythical place in his family lore. But Alex is surprised when Ohlig admits that he's in serious legal trouble, accused of crimes involving hundreds of millions of dollars.

Pleasantly unpredictable
Revisado: 07-02-16
For a first publication this was an awesome piece of work. The author doesn't assume that we are ridiculously stupid and actually fits the pieces of this mystery together very well. Surprisingly, there were a couple of twist that we didn't see coming and I was very impressed at the hidden foreshadowing.

Not what I was expecting
Revisado: 06-23-16
Decent sci-fi, but far from Patterson's usual storytelling.
Worth a listen in the background while working on a project, but I think I might have put the book down and not picked it back up, for the effort to read it might not be worth it.
Just my opinion.

Historia
The sound of snapping twigs closed in on the five teenagers enjoying an evening around a glowing campfire at Gitchie Manitou State Park. The night of music and laughter had taken a dark turn. Evil loomed just beyond the tree line, and before the night was over, one of the Midwest's most horrific mass murders had left its bloodstains spewed across the campsite. One managed to survive and would come to be known as the "Gitchie Girl".

An AMAZING AND INSPIRING journey through trauma to triumph
Revisado: 05-22-16
The Gitchie Girl is someone I would aspire to be like, after reading her story of resilience through traumas and ending in the triumph of life!
Exciting "story" and well written & narrated.

NARRATOR WAS HORRIBLE... couldn't even proceed
Revisado: 05-09-16
Would you try another book from the authors and/or Don Kline?
NO....... NEVER.... in fact, I recommend this guy gets a new career, or some better coaching on how to narrate- his first performance I purchased was WORSE than this one, and ruined the story... I don't know how anyone can publish such a performance- doesn't anyone listen to the product before completion????

Let outlines help you write a better book! Writers often look upon outlines with fear and trembling. But when properly understood and correctly wielded, the outline is one of the most powerful weapons in a writer's arsenal.

Only problem was the reading speed BETWEEN sentences or paragraphs.
Revisado: 12-29-15
The information was excellent- a great collection of easy to understand "how-to-outline-a-novel" instructions. The only concern was the speed between sentences or paragraph (topics)... It felt like listening to a high school project's poor audio splicing job... I had to check the speed of the reading setting, incase I had accidentally changed it to 1.5X, but I hadn't.
Once you get used to that distraction, it's easy to follow and the information is as good as any other outline guide I've listened to.
WORTH THE LISTEN.
