Historia
For GBI investigator Will Trent and medical examiner Sara Linton, McAlpine Lodge seems like the ideal getaway to celebrate their honeymoon. Set on a gorgeous, off-the-grid mountaintop property, it’s the perfect place to unplug and reconnect. Until a bone-chilling scream cuts through the night. Mercy McAlpine, the manager of the Lodge, is dead. With a vicious storm raging and the one access road to the property washed out, the murderer must be someone on the mountain. But as Will and Sara investigate the McAlpine family and the other guests, they realize that everyone here is lying.

Another excellent Will Trent mystery. I found myself slow playing to keep them in my life longer. Now the long wait for Karen’s next one!

Historia
Lucy Sharpe is larger than life. Magnetic, addictive. Bold and dangerous. Especially for Margot, who meets Lucy at the end of their freshman year at a liberal arts college in South Carolina. Margot is the shy one, the careful one, always the sidekick and never the center of attention. But when Lucy singles her out at the end of the year, a year Margot spent studying and playing it safe, and asks her to room together, something in Margot can't say no—something daring, or starved, or maybe even envious.

Hard to follow
Revisado: 10-16-23
I found this one very hard to follow so my enjoyment was hampered by not really knowing what was going on. I've read some of Catherine's other books and they are much better than this one.

Historia
On a summer afternoon in 1998, six-year-old Iris Neff walked away from a barbecue in her small suburban town...and vanished. Missing persons investigator Brenna Spector has a rare neurological disorder that enables her to recall every detail of every day of her life. A blessing and a curse, it began in childhood, when her older sister stepped into a strange car never to be seen again, and it’s proven invaluable in her work. But it hasn’t helped her solve the mystery that haunts her above all others - and it didn’t lead her to little Iris.

Don't Waste Your Time
Revisado: 11-17-22
I only made it an hour and a half in and I was so confused and bored. Don't waste your time. The story jumps all over the place and you can't keep up. I love books that take place in two different times but this one failed.

Not her best work
Revisado: 08-12-21
I've been a fan of Megan's work for a while but I would say this is the worst of her books. It is slow and just drags on and on. Skip this one and go with The Last House Guest or All The Missing Girls.
