I had no doubt whatsoever ..

that this would be an amazing book. What surprised me was how the story itself invited me to explore my own ideas of what it means to be a woman... a topic that, as introspective as I tend to be, I had never really given much thought to. This is one of those books that will stick with me.

I could not follow this book. I just finished listening, and I couldn't believe it was the end. I have no idea what happened.
This has literally never happened to me before, and I'm tempted to listen again to see if it makes more sense the second time... but not today.

EXCELLENT ALL AROUND

This is the best book I have read in a very long time. It completely drew me in to the setting and the story. The characters are well-developed and the interweaving of their stories is seamless and satisfying.
The narration was spot-on as well, with her spectacular tone and style, and her interpretation reflected with every vocal inflection. I'm disappointed to be at the end.

I don't normally write reviews. Usually, I only go as far as a star rating, but this book was too dang good. I also feel like the door was left open for a possible 2nd book, but I'm not sure if that was intended or not. Either way...definitely a must-read.

This was a fantastic book. The only negative thing for me is that I felt like the ending was a little flat. but definitely an amazing and eye-opening adventure as they journey toward The Land of the Free.

I've had this book on pre-order for over 6 months, and was counting down the days...it was absolutely amazing and I'm very sad to be at the end of the story. Nora's writing is absolutely captivating from start to finish.
