God of Ruin was an enjoyable dark romance book.

While this is the fourth book in the Legacy of Gods series it can be read as a standalone. I would recommend just reading the prior books first though for better context and backstory. Also, the main characters of this book are the second generation of the Royal Elite series and the Thorne duet, but those are not needed to be read beforehand.

It is dual POVs of the main characters, Landon King and Mia Sokolov, and there are some great tropes like: enemies to lovers, hate to love, opposites attract, and an innocent heroine. I would highly recommend though, checking the content and trigger warnings before reading.

I was able to listen to the audiobook at the same time and the duet narration was fantastic and definitely made the story more entertaining.

The overall premise was okay. There were some amusing, steamy and entertaining moments. The main conflict/issue throughout the story wasn’t as intense or crazy as I was expecting though. Also, I was hoping for a little bit more chaos from Landon.

I will say while I loved Landon in this book, he was surprisingly a lot tamer and not as unhinged as he was in the previous books. So I was slightly disappointed we didn’t get to see him cause more mayhem/drama. He was also very funny and kind of a softy at times, which was interesting.

Mia was definitely my favorite character in this book. I absolutely loved her strength, attitude and just general outlook on life.

The romance between them was surprisingly quite sweet. I loved how obsessed he became and did everything he could to win her and her family over. There wasn’t as much spice as there has been in the previous books though, but there spicy moments were still entertaining. I definitely liked how they both were a little crazy and just complimented each other perfectly.

The conflict at the end wasn’t my favorite, especially with Mia’s sister and all that drama. I wanted a bit more resolution between her and her siblings, as it all just felt very rushed and brushed aside. But the conclusion and epilogue were nice.

Overall, just an entertaining read.

Love At First Psych was a quick and fun audiobook. Not my favorite from this author but still entertaining.

The full cast of narrators were fantastic and definitely made the story more enjoyable.

The premise was interesting and there were some amusing, cheesy and heartwarming moments. However, some moments were just a bit too over the top for me.

The romance was cute but I wanted a bit more romantic connection/development between them.

Overall, just an amusing audiobook.

Eyes On Me was a scorchingly steamy and highly entertaining read. I absolutely just loved the story, characters and spice. I listened to the audio version of this book as well and the narrators were absolutely incredible!

It is dual POVs of the main characters and has a taboo romance (step-siblings) and the age gap trope, which I loved. I do suggest checking the content and trigger warnings as well.

The overall story was just quick to read and really well written. There were some amusing, spicy, entertaining and heartbreaking moments as well.

The main characters, Mia and Garrett were fantastic. They each had intriguing storylines and realistic inner struggles. The romantic development between them was so amazing as well. They definitely had one of the spiciest romances I have ever read. The liberation of sexuality and various kinks throughout this book were amazing as well.

The main conflict was quite low and quickly resolved, which I also really liked. The ending and epilogue were just the perfect conclusion to Mia and Garrett’s story.

Overall, just a very spicy read that I highly recommend.

Heartless was an enjoyable and charming small town romance book. The premise, characters and romance were absolutely captivating and just had me smiling the entire time.

This is the second book in the Chestnut Springs series, so I would recommend just listening to the prior book first for more context on the Eaton family.

It is dual POVs of the main characters, Cade Eaton and Willa Grant. There are also some great tropes like: an age gap, grumpy-sunshine, close proximity, and a single father. I would suggest checking the content warnings before reading just in case.

I’ll also say that the dual narrators, Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin, did an incredible job portraying all the emotions these characters experienced and immersed me in the story even more.

The overall storyline was well written and developed, while there were a few slow paced moments it was still just an enjoyable read.

The romantic development between the main characters was also great. Their tension, banter and chemistry was just so well done. The smut was also pretty good, not as spicy as I had hoped but still quite hot.

Overall, just a sweet and lighthearted read.

Consider Me was a steamy and delightful hockey romance book. This was my first book from this author and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I really liked the story and characters. The narrators in this audiobook were amazing as well and made me enjoy the story even more.

It is dual POVs of the main characters (Carter Beckett and Olivia Parker) and has the reformed playboy trope and a love at first sight romance. I would suggest checking the content and trigger warnings before reading just in case.

The overall premise was very enjoyable and the writing was pretty good. There were some amusing, sweet, angsty, and heartbreaking moments. All the side characters throughout the book were also incredible and had amazing banter with the main characters.

I will say though, there was a lot of repetitive dialogue and this book definitely could have been a bit shorter, as it was quite long and slow paced at times.

The romantic development between the main characters was incredible. The chemistry, banter and spice between them was so good. There was a lot of push and pull from the heroine though, which I completely understood why. So I just loved how the hero proved he changed and was persistent in his pursuit of her. He definitely radiated golden retriever energy as well, which I found so amusing and sweet.

One of my favorite aspects of their relationship was that they actively pushed each other to communicate more and figured stuff out together, even if it took some time. Their insecurities and feelings were valid and respected by each other as well.

The third act conflict was not my favorite and resolved itself a bit too quickly in my opinion. So I just would have liked a bit more discussions regarding the matter or more explanation as to what happened afterwards. But the conclusion and epilogue were absolutely amazing and so adorable.

Overall, just an enjoyable read and I’m excited for the next book.

A Light in the Flame was a gripping and compelling follow up in the Flesh and Fire series. I was able to listen to the audio version as well and the narrator was fantastic!

This book picks up immediately after the ending of A Shadow in the Ember, so I would highly recommend just reading that book first. I also suggest checking the content and trigger warnings before reading.

I did have several theories on how the storyline would play out and I was pleasantly surprised by the direction of the story. There was more world building and new information regarding the prophecy and the embers that left me even more invested in the story. There were also a lot of action packed, intense, heartbreaking and amusing moments.

One of my favorite aspects of this story was Sera’s struggle and journey with her mental health. The discussions regarding anxiety and depression were heartbreakingly beautiful and just so well written. The story also showcased how much of a fighter Sera was and her willingness to take matters into her own hands.

I also just loved all the side characters. There were some very amusing and entertaining banter and exchanges between them all. Sera’s bond with Jadis and Reaver was so heartwarming as well. I just really liked how there were characters and scenes that completely surprised me and left me speechless. I’ll be honest and say, there was a character that I completely misjudged that I now feel horrible about.

My biggest issue with the story though was the pacing and the repetitiveness. There were just a lot of slow moving parts that definitely could have been better handled. The build up to the main plot point just dragged quite a bit to be honest.

The romance between Nyktos and Sera was absolutely incredible. There was angst, tension, heartache and love. The spice between them was so intense and passionate. I just really loved how they argued like an old married couple.

Nyktos’ compassion and sacrifice absolutely broke my heart. This book definitely showed more of his character and his undying willingness to protect those he cares about. There was a scene that made me bawl my eyes out and Sera’s reaction was just heartbreaking. There were just a lot of secrets and truths discovered that blew me away.

The last few chapters were very action packed and intense. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Be warned that this does end on a massive cliffhanger that absolutely left me screaming.

Overall, just a captivating read and I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Princess and the Player was an okay read, unfortunately though, the overall story and romance were quite underwhelming.

I will say though, I was able to listen to the audio version as well and it definitely made me enjoy the story a little bit more.

This is the second book in the Strangers In Love series, but can absolutely be read as a standalone. I would highly recommend though, checking the content and trigger warnings before reading.

It is dual POVs of the main characters (Tuck Avery and Francesca Lane) and has some great tropes like: a one night stand, close proximity and an accidental pregnancy.

The overall premise wasn’t my favorite to be honest. While, I did like the first few chapters, I did lose interest halfway as I just wasn’t a fan of how certain things were playing out. There was also quite a bit of other men/other women moments for my liking.

Tuck and Francesca’s storylines felt a bit one-dimensional as well. I just would have liked a bit more character development, as a lot of their growth felt quite rushed at the end.

The romance between them was okay. While, they did have some spicy and heartfelt moments, their relationship was very much insta-lust. My biggest issue though, was that there really wasn’t any relationship building or emotional connection between them until the very end. So it was just hard for me to believe in their romance and how they got to the “I love you stage.”

The side characters were definitely my favorite part to be honest. There were some great banter and entertaining moments between them all.

The ending was also very rushed but the epilogue was really heartwarming.

Overall, a decent read just not my favorite.

God of Wrath was an amazing dark romance book with incredible spice and intriguing characters. I was able to listen to the audio version as well and the narrators made me enjoy this book even more!

This is the third book in the Legacy of Gods series but can absolutely be read as a standalone. Also, the main characters of this book are the second generation of the Royal Elite series and the Deception trilogy, but those are not needed to be read beforehand as well.

It is dual POVs of the main characters, Jeremy Volkov and Cecily Knight, and has some great tropes like: enemies to lovers, hate to love, opposites attract, an innocent heroine and a secret romance. I would highly recommend though, checking the content and trigger warnings before reading.

The overall premise was intriguing and filled with some dark mafia themes. There were some intense, passionate, amusing and heartbreaking moments. The discussions regarding mental health were also beautifully written and explored.

Jeremy was absolutely incredible; definitely a dark anti-hero. Some of his actions were quite intense and violent, but I honestly just loved his stalker-ish behavior. He was sweet and caring in his own way, which I adored.

Cecily definitely caught me by surprise. I wasn’t expecting to love her as much as I did. Her exploration and acceptance of her sexual kinks were written so well and handled beautifully. Her struggles with mental health and trauma were absolutely heartbreaking as well. I also loved how Jeremy was able to connect and help her with her dissociation episodes.

The relationship between Jeremy and Cecily was dark, intense, passionate and just so spicy. The obsession, jealousy and possessiveness was incredible. I just loved how Jeremy hated that he was fascinated, intrigued and annoyed by Cecily. Again, the spice was just so amazing. I will say though, while I loved their dynamic and physical connection I wanted a bit more communication and relationship building between them.

There was a slight love triangle but at the same time there wasn’t. I did like how that all played out though. The side characters and all their banter was amazing as well. There were also some really amusing, entertaining and heartfelt moments with each of Jeremy and Cecily’s parents.

There were a few subplots though that could have been more explored or touched upon, as they felt quite rushed at the end like: Cecily’s acceptance with Jeremy being in the mafia and how that would affect her life, the conflict with the Serpents, and Jeremy’s conflict with Landon and if that’s finished.

The last few chapters specifically the conflict and reconciliation did feel very rushed as well, but I loved how devoted Jeremy was and how his bodyguard, Ilya, meddled. The epilogue was also quite sweet.

Overall, just an enjoyable and steamy read.

Shattered Sea was a beautifully written story about finding and accepting love after loss.

I was able to listen to the audio version at the same time and it definitely made the story more enjoyable.

While this book can be read as a standalone it is the fourth book in the Tattered & Torn series. So I would recommend just reading the prior books first for better context. I would also suggest checking the content and trigger warnings before reading as well.

It is dual POVs of the main characters and has the close proximity, friends to lovers, opposites attract and the small town romance trope.

The overall premise was so enjoyable and well written. There was a great mixture of suspense, heartbreak, humor and romance.

I will say though, there were a few subplots that could have been more developed or explored upon. I also would have liked a bit more communication/discussions during certain moments between the heroine’s friends and surrogate family.

I’ll admit I also was a bit worried about the main characters grief and how that would affect their romance, as both had lost their loved ones. However, it was really well written and explained how even though they loved them, they missed the friendships they had with them more, which I thought was so beautiful and real.

The romantic development between the main characters was great. It was insta-attraction though, but there was still good angst, chemistry and banter between them. I also just loved how understanding and patient the hero was with the heroine.

There was no third act conflict, which I absolutely appreciated. The last few chapters were a bit rushed though and I definitely did not see that twist coming. But the conclusion and bonus epilogue were absolutely delightful and heartwarming.

Overall, just a wonderful read.
