Historia
Cambridge professor Emily Wilde is good at many things: She is the foremost expert on the study of faeries. She is a genius scholar and a meticulous researcher who is writing the world’s first encyclopaedia of faerie lore. But Emily Wilde is not good at people. She could never make small talk at a party—or even get invited to one. And she prefers the company of her books, her dog, Shadow, and the Fair Folk to other people. So when she arrives in the hardscrabble village of Hrafnsvik, Emily has no intention of befriending the gruff townsfolk.

Historia
Masterfully blending elements of psychological suspense and true crime, Jessica Knoll—bestselling author of Luckiest Girl Alive and the writer behind the Netflix adaptation starring Mila Kunis—delivers an “unflinching and evocative” (Laura Dave, New York Times bestselling author) thriller in Bright Young Women. The book opens on a Saturday night in 1978, hours before a soon-to-be-infamous murderer descends upon a Florida sorority house with deadly results. The lives of those who survive, including a sorority president and key witness, Pamela Schumacher, are forever changed.

Heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, infuriating, captivating

Highly recommend!
Thank you for giving voice to the women and for pointing out the many ways vile storylines are shifted to popularize the defendants. Your story is so well written and will stay with me much longer than the usual fiction I consume.

This was a most unique setting for a multifaceted story with great characters and various relationships of mothers and sons, and of lovers past and present, and of course our relationships with the objects we surround ourselves with. I am so glad I chose to listen to this book!

Revisado: 11-18-19
I felt so invested in this book because of its location being one that I am so familiar with! Add in all the mystery of 2 separate cold cases and it made this one especially hard to put down! The narration was awesome, too, with all the different voices being so believable. I highly recommend Sunset Beach!
