Historia
Being a small dungeon on the outskirts of town in the backwaters of an unimportant kingdom isn't easy, but Kelsey's done her best to level up and become the best dungeon she can be: Digging a hole of ever-increasing depth and complexity. Creating an undead atmosphere that would make a necromancer proud. Spawning monsters and treasure. Killing adventurers. But lately, things have gotten a bit stale.

It's.. Smut disguised as medieval fantasy
Revisado: 12-09-24
First of all, apparently if you're not into Isekai then you'll be like me and be very grossed out by some of the things in this story, such as explicit digital sexual contact with a child sized person. It build slowly until it goes into full sexual perversion, so at least there are some good, consistent things going on. I stopped reading at that point, I am not into children or even those that appear to be children, so I want nothing to do with this book, author, or genre.

Historia
Without an end in sight to the struggle, Aiden's on the verge of breaking. A new dungeon prophesizes an even more chaotic future—the icing on the proverbial doom cake. Yet, even before that time comes, he has far more pressing matters to attend to. The Valkyr have captured Adam and the others from the school who went their own way. To add injury to insult, the captured group is forced to fight like gladiators and aid the warmongering Angels and Fallen in their conquest. Seeing no other option, Aiden has to make a hard choice.

Waste of a read, all around. Don't bother.
Revisado: 07-06-23
This book is all about horrible choices: The author made horrible choices in repeating adjectives in sentences, giving characters little or no motivation for dumb decisions, ATROCIOUS dialogue, and just all around bad design and execution.
The narrator made horrible choices in voicing the characters, which really does take you out of the story.
The characters make horrible choices on every page. Why? Who knows. The author doesn't tell us, despite giving us inner monologue. Nothing in this book makes sense. Stay away. Far away. If you read the first book, just consider that the happy ending THOSE characters deserved, because these are not the same characters.

Historia
Seven-year-old Wen and her parents, Eric and Andrew, are vacationing at a remote cabin on a quiet New Hampshire lake. Their closest neighbors are more than two miles in either direction along a rutted dirt road. One afternoon, as Wen catches grasshoppers in the front yard, a stranger unexpectedly appears in the driveway. Leonard is the largest man Wen has ever seen, but he is young, friendly, and he wins her over almost instantly. Leonard and Wen talk and play until Leonard abruptly apologizes and tells Wen, “None of what’s going to happen is your fault.”

The best part was looking forward to reviewing it
Revisado: 04-03-21
I can't say enough about how much I hated this book. I can honestly say that writing this was the only part I enjoyed. I don't remember who recommended it, I believe it was another author comparing his/her work to this book, but I completely regret ever buying it.
With all audio books, one must separate the narration from the work itself, and I have given a lot of thought if one could be worse than the other. I am forced to conclude that they are both terrible.
THE NARRATION HAD ME FRUSTRATED AND LET DOWN. I tried to think of how to describe the narration, and the only thing I can think of is when you call a large business and get the options of how to direct the call, the narration would be the voice that has you push so many buttons until you smash 0 over and over just to speak to a human. Her delivery is not monotonous, just without individual voices for the characters. THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME! If you think I'm wrong, go check out The Wheel of Time series and hear Kate Reading and Michael Kramer show us all what it means to narrate an audio book. Also, almost every sentence ends on the exact. Same. Tone.
THE STORY HAD ME ANGRY AND YELLING AT MY CAR. If you are wondering if you'd like this book, just ask yourself: 1. Do you like to hear some people say "YOU HAVE TO DO _____" while the others say "YOU WANT TO ____" over and over? 2. Do you like a short story that's dragged out for 9 hours, when I could tell you everything that happens in one sentence? 3. Do you like going to the art museum and seeing a big pile of junk and convince yourself it belongs there and it's beautiful? 4. Do you like a book that gives you hints that it might be good, that it might explore relationships, religion, death, murder, and other things I would spoil, but ultimately doesn't deliver? Then GOOD NEWS! This book is for you!
For the rest of us, this book is a serious failure on all levels. This is the first review I've ever written, and it's the only part of this book that I enjoy. I have been thinking about how to rip it to pieces. This is not a book: It's that paper you wrote in high school that you were so proud of, but realized it was only 1 page long when the teacher said it was supposed to be 10, so you spent all night stretching it out for no good reason. Don't buy this book unless you are happy to return it.
As for me, I hope to never think about this book again and move on to something else.
