I loved this series... until this book. I had to listen at super speed to bare getting through this. I'm sure there are books that Cindy Kay is a good fit for, but the part of a 20-something woman in an emotionally-charged romance is NOT it. Conner's narration somewhat redeemed the audio. The story was... not the best. one of those where silly misunderstanding could have been resolved with a two minute conversation. Save your credit.

This series was absolutely, thoroughly, exhausting but oh so good. I almost took breaks, particularly during the second book, because I was emotionally spent. Ms. Stewart sure can give you all the feels, but definitely bring tissues.
I can think of any better narrators for this than the masterful Joe and Maxine. They truly made the story come to life.

Perfection!

Ms. Hall created a story that is sweet, emotional, romantic perfection! I am in love with this story of healing, unconditional love, and new beginnings. I can't think of a better narrator than Brooke. It's easy to forget one person is the voice of all the characters. I think this is my favorite book she's ever done, but I'll definitely be looking into more of her work.

Entertaining Story, mostly good narration

really enjoyed the story, but good gracious the narrators' respective voices for the opposite gender were painful and towards the end got just plain irritating.

I wanted to like it, I really did....

but the female narrator ruined it for me; I had to double-time it through her parts or I would t have finished. I also didn't like that the characters were from Europe but only the side characters had accents.

not a fan of the female narrator

Overall, I enjoyed the storyline. It had interesting plot twists and kept me interested. However, there were several times throughout that I had to stop and switch to another book else because I could not stand the female narrator. Her voice and accents are pleasant, but the style of her narration and inflection makes a single sentence sound like it's broken into three or four different mini sentences. Most people may not be bothered by this or maybe not even notice, but i had to up the speed on her chapters to get through it.

Great story, on the fence about female narrator.

Loved this story - it was perfectly heart reaching and heart healing, and I needed tissues for several parts, happy and sad. I really appreciated the emotion the female brought to dialogue and inner thoughts of the character, particularly at the beginning; however, when there wasn't dialogue or emotion to be read, just narrative, it sounded a bit too robotic to me. for most of it I would forget it was someone reading a book and it was like I was in the story, but there kept on being those parts where it snapped me back into the reality of it's just somebody reading to me.

some action, mostly boring

The storyline was decent, but there were a lot of holes in the plot and backstory. Too much train-of-thought made it boring and it was a struggle to get through - I ended up skipping or listening at 2x speed through a bunch. Narrator had good vocal expression but her she made the female character sound too much like a little girl.

Mostly a glorified epilogue

This final installment included snippets of core male characters in the story at different points in time. it jumped around a bit too much for my preference, but I appreciated the additional prologue and epilogue tidbits, particularly James' perspective of his first encounter with Bianca. .

The book was a decent listen, but not quite my style in the story line. I prefer a bit more lovey dovey, but if you're into books where the character plays seriously emotionally hard to get, then this may be for you.
