Sets Up Background for Bosch

I loved this book. I’ve been listening to the Bosch Series but it would have been better to start with Jack as it sets the stage for the Bosch Series. Really enjoyed

Connelly AND Welliver Together

You can’t beat a Harry Bosch book. And then to have it read by Titus Welliver?! I’ve watched the TV series and it’s spin off. But I miss having it to watch. So I came to the books. It’s nice getting detailed info to fill-in the TV series. Love the Bosch character. So we’ll developed. Connelly is great at setting up the mental picture for the reader. I’m on a roll having just finished Book 2. Love them!

Imma Sucker for Pirog

I was introduced to Nick Pirog about a year ago through Audible just by chance. It’s been a heavy time in America for the past year-two years. And I’ve had had lots of time for reading/listening to books. Luckily Pirog has a way of making his books fun. Pure entertainment. His books lift my soul and make me laugh out loud. Just what I’ve needed. This book was different from his detective books, but no less enjoyable. Especially if you love animals and/or have ever lost a beloved pet. I have and could understand the pain and joy of this book. Highly recommended for a break from the depressing life many of us have been thrown into lately. Hope springs eternal.

I love Nick Pirog’s writing. It is pure entertainment. I find I hate putting it down. This series ended on a note that is going to make me search to see if there is a book following. At least I hope there is!!

Story Okay, Narrator Bad

I was having a hard time getting through this book initially. I finally realized it was due to the narrators horrible depiction of the characters. They all had the same whiny tone. Once I figured out I had to listen past his voice, I made it through the book and enjoyed the story a bit more.

Grew in Me Big Time

At first, I didn’t think I was going to like the books. I thought hearing the male thoughts of women was trivial. However, I have to admit hearing the thoughts of this man as he walked through his life grew on me. I flew through the trilogy and hated to see it come to an end. Very entertaining.
