Historia
A Tale of Two Cities is a story of love, mystery, suspense, and action all rolled up into one beautifully written novel taking place in two prominent cities, Paris and London, during the French Revolution. The story follows the release and rehabilitation of Dr. Manette, a man falsely imprisoned in the Bastille in France for almost two decades. While trouble is brewing in France with citizens being starved and taxed to death, Dr. Manette is taken to London by Mr. Lorrie, a prominent business man, and Lucie, Dr. Manette's daughter.

I had a hard time reading, long time before I got it. Good book. Long time reading it and sometimes boring.

It's America in 1962. Slavery is legal once again. The few Jews who still survive hide under assumed names. In San Francisco, the I Ching is as common as the Yellow Pages. All because some twenty years earlier the United States lost a war - and is now occupied by Nazi Germany and Japan.

High Castle
Revisado: 12-30-16
Well, the part of Juliana was pretty much laid out, but I didn't think it would end there. The rest was hard to understand as most of the characters never had a conclusion to their lives. It was very hard for someone like me to understand, unless I read it over again. I don't know what will become of Fink, or anyone else for that matter. Too cerebral for me. Didn't like it. I would not recommend it.

Historia
A masterful, intensely suspenseful novel about a reader whose obsession with a reclusive writer goes far too far - a book about the power of storytelling, starring the same trio of unlikely and winning heroes King introduced in Mr. Mercedes. "Wake up, genius." So begins King's instantly riveting story about a vengeful reader. The genius is John Rothstein, an iconic author who created a famous character, Jimmy Gold, but who hasn't published a book for decades.

I probably read the books in the Mercedes trilogy. This one was excellent, as the rest. I got a lot of information that I was wondering about, and kept me glued to the book .

Nervousness
Revisado: 11-24-16
In the beginning it seemed that I wouldn't be so scared as I am with most Steven King movies . This is the probably the third novel I have actually read (listened) to, and I could hardly put it down waiting for that nervous feeling in my stomach. Loved it and can't wait to read the two other novels. Thumbs up!

Historia
It's often said that when tragedy strikes, the victims were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. But not Harry and Alice French. Assaulted by masked men looking for a mysterious package and a man named Renshaw, Alice and Harry manage to convince them that there has been a terrible mix-up. But nothing prepares Alice and Harry for the web they find themselves trapped in after their assailants leave. Especially as Alice hasn't been completely honest.

I haven't been able to sunk my immersion reading with my kindle unlimited, so the book keeps going back to the second chapter even though I have a bookmark on Chapter's 15.
