Better than the Original
Revisado: 04-02-25
I enjoyed the way this story was updated. Part of it may be that I live with neuroatypicals and it was helpful in understanding the drivers behind the behaviors. The characters were easy to follow given the different voices.

Historia
August 1939: London is dismal under the weight of impending war with Germany as Hitler’s forces continue to sweep across Europe. Into this uncertain maelstrom steps Grace Bennett, young and ready for a fresh start in the bustling city streets she’s always dreamed of - and miles away from her troubled past in the countryside. With aspirations of working at a department store, Grace never imagined she’d wind up employed at Primrose Hill, an offbeat bookshop nestled in the heart of the city - after all, she’s never been much of a reader.

Building Courage and Confidence thru Books
Revisado: 03-22-25
I enjoyed this book and watching the characters grow thru pain and hardship. Interesting how the main character learned from those around her including the difficult and prickly ones.

Historia
Recruited as a codebreaker of enemy ciphers, ex-debutante Osla Kendall spends her days translating Axis military messages and her nights reading mystery novels. When Osla gets her hands on Agatha Christie's most recent work, N or M?, a mysterious signal within its pages catches her eye, and she and her eccentric book club get in touch with the famous but reclusive writer. Osla's outreach is a welcome distraction for Agatha, who feels restless and underestimated toiling away in a London pharmacy.

Take off on The Rose Code
Revisado: 01-21-23
I might have missed this in the description, so I was very confused when the characters from the Rose code appeared in this novella. Similar but different. Having read the other book first this one made more sense. I had hoped for a different story live, but enjoyed it in the end.
