I really enjoyed learning about Rick's life. The good, the bad, and everything in between.

Historia
Arguably the most important American lawyer of the 20th century, Thurgood Marshall was on the verge of bringing the landmark suit Brown v. Board of Education before the US Supreme Court when he became embroiled in a case that threatened to change the course of the civil rights movement and to cost him his life. In 1949, Florida's orange industry was booming, and citrus barons got rich on the backs of cheap Jim Crow labor with the help of Sheriff Willis V. McCall, who ruled Lake County with murderous resolve....

Gut Wrenching
Revisado: 08-06-18
I didn't know much about Thurgood Marshall or the Groveland case before reading this book. It was eye opening, unbelievable, and horrible all at the same time. To think these events happened not too long ago in this country is saddening.

Good story about a baseball icon.
Revisado: 05-03-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this title to a friend. I found it very insightful into the life of a great baseball player.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I would have loved to listen to this in one sitting, but I just don't have that kind of time.
Any additional comments?
There were a few places where some of the audio was missing, the editing was bad, and there were a few repeated lines. It looks like this book has been out for a few years and I was surprised that they haven't corrected these issues yet.

Fantastic or conventional, chillingly suspenseful, or hauntingly nostalgic, each of these stories has that aura of the unexpected combined with the special ring of absolute rightness that is brilliantly, uniquely Bradbury.

Interesting group of stories.
Revisado: 07-19-12
Would you try another book from Ray Bradbury and/or Michael Prichard?
I have read a bunch of Bradbury and I found this title difficult to get into. There were some good stories, but most I felt were lacking something. I didn't care for the narration either and this probably added to my difficulty.

Pretty interesting history of the CIA.
Revisado: 12-26-11
What made the experience of listening to Spycraft the most enjoyable?
Learning about the history of the CIA's Spytechs.
What aspect of David Drummond’s performance would you have changed?
I found his narration to be okay. It wasn't stellar, but it wasn't annoying either.
Any additional comments?
The breaks between chapters were not long enough. A chapter would end and the following one would immediately begin. I found this fairly jarring.
