She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. why do I own this book twice?
Revisado: 11-19-22
I love this book, author, and everything but why was it released twice? I thought maybe it was a new book in the series or included some new content; however, is the exact same book that was released previously. 🤔 not sure how to feel about this.

binge listen worthy
Revisado: 02-24-22
i go through a lot of audio books; however, this book flew by so fast. It is not without its flaws but hopefully they will get fixed in book follow-up books in the series.
I can help but hate Ivy her character doesn't make a lot of sense in some of her motivations. That being said I cannot even fathom what it would be like to have powers to see and jump into other parallel realites or whatever it is that these people do.

good story ruined with excessive Japanese
Revisado: 07-02-21
i have been living in Japan for the last 20 years and absolutely love the culture. This story would have been epic if they would have toned it down like 60%
not sure if it was the narrator screwing pronouncement of words like Otōsan. making father sound like too when it should sound like toe. i noticed that O was dropped from nearly all of the titles like brother, sister, father, mother etc and it annoyed the hell out of me because they often added sama to the end of the title which is only used in formal settings.
and all the units of time should have been dropped completely.

it was good
Revisado: 05-10-21
There are quite a few so so reviews of this book, but I enjoyed it. I listened to all of the previous books free on Audible as they were included in my membership, but Audible won't let you review or even star a book you didn't pay for so I figured I would take a moment to give my two cents.
I really like this series the world building in unique, so is the magic systems, and the character progression is very well thought out. It always bugged me that the sword sage died in book one without any real information why, but the author did a very good job circling back to it and has set the story up for hopefully some very good future books in this series.
My only complaint would be I wish the books were about 30% longer in length, I would have never bought the first book in the series as I really like to get the most out of my credits. However as they were free Audible very cleverly introduced me to a great author that I will be purchasing books from in the future.
10 out 10 will be on the look out for other gems like this!

i like the book but have issues
Revisado: 07-19-20
the description of many spells do not match what the characters do with them, a prime example is haste…moving 30% would not allow one to watch explosions move in slow motion or allow you to move so quickly other people wouldn't see you coming. maybe if haste was a 3000% increase in speed it might do something like that but a slight movement increase is like walking at jogging speed which wouldn't amount to a very powerful buff.

loved but
Revisado: 04-03-20
i really liked the story but I always hate books that insist repeating meaningless stats every chapter. they might as well have said he had +175% apples and bananas.
also the main character is making a sort of glass cannon build but in nearly every fight gets the crap beat out of him will little to know real impact or meaning as within a few seconds he is back to full health and in the fight again. i know its a game but it could use a little more reality.
