Historia
Pete Forcelli was a highly respected federal agent in New York City, where he made an impact on violent crime by successfully targeting some of the city's most violent street gangs by using federal racketeering and continuing criminal enterprise statutes in conjunction with federal prosecutors. In early 2007, he was promoted to a supervisory position in Phoenix and quickly discovered that federal prosecutors were not charging criminals for violating federal firearms laws, even in instances where they knew guns were being trafficked to ultra-violent drug cartels.

Many questions finally answered!
Revisado: 03-18-25
Whistleblower Pete Forcelli tells his perspective of Operation Fast & Furious as a supervisor in the ATF Phoenix Division but different investigative office, yet working with the same bureaucratic problematic political agenda driven US Atty Office. ATF Sr Mgrs made mistakes & failed to maintain controls, but the actions & repeated intentional inactions of the US Atty Office prosecutors were criminal & life endangering. John Dodson’s book, The Unarmed Truth was enlightening, BUT this book ANSWERS the QUESTIONS regarding the deep rooted problems & failures to prosecute criminals.

Historia
On a chilly November afternoon in 1998, a tearful 36-year-old man walked into the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department in Eureka, California, and confessed to something horrible. "I hurt some people," he said. Inside his pocket was the ghastly proof of his statement. But there was more to Wayne Adam Ford than the trail of mangled victims he left behind. More, even, than the twisted predator inside, which drove him to increasingly perverse sexual appetites.

Graphic and gripping
Revisado: 04-30-24
Using media, police reports, court records, and those willing to be interviewed, the author details the somber gripping and graphic violence by the killer with his victims. The writer tells the story of the victims’ lives, while relating their violent murders in a way as to not forget or forgive what happened to them at the brutal hands of an abusive, controlling, angry man. I read in 2023, DNA sample confirmed the unidentified victim was Kerry Ann Cummings. Definitely recommend for fans of true crime.

Historia
In 1942, the Gestapo sent out an urgent transmission: "She is the most dangerous of all Allied spies. We must find and destroy her." The target in their sights was Virginia Hall, a Baltimore socialite who talked her way into Special Operations Executive, the spy organization dubbed Winston Churchill's "Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare." She became the first Allied woman deployed behind enemy lines and - despite her prosthetic leg - helped to light the flame of the French Resistance, revolutionizing secret warfare as we know it.

Nadia had dreams of becoming a history teacher or opening her own beauty salon. On August 15, 2014, when Nadia was just 21 years old, this life ended. Islamic State militants massacred the people of her village, executing men who refused to convert to Islam and women too old to become sex slaves.

Empire of the Summer Moon spans two astonishing stories. The first traces the rise and fall of the Comanches, the most powerful Indian tribe in American history. The second entails one of the most remarkable narratives ever to come out of the Old West: the epic saga of the pioneer woman Cynthia Ann Parker and her mixed-blood son, Quanah, who became the last and greatest chief of the Comanches.

Well Done! A fascinating, captivating non-fiction historical.
Revisado: 04-15-23
Well researched, documented events and people. Certainly not a cheery tale of colonialism, glossing over the brutality of the efforts to settle the west/resist the settlers. The hard facts of the time period told with compassion and grit.
