Emotionally charged and hard hitting, AMBUSH delivers a knockout punch from behind the lines in Vietnam to the gritty streets and everyday life of DEA supervisor Von Crocker. The story twists and turns, moving between past and present as Crocker wrestles with his haunted past and oncoming future. Strong, dramatic and most of all, true to life. The dialogue snaps like a whip and is brought to life even further by the superb talents of Mike Marrow's narration. Author David Hess nails it in this one. Two big thumbs up!

A great medical thriller that twists and turns and also digs into the human condition; the pitfalls of greed, jealously and ego in the world at large. The pages keep turning with a solid murder mystery and determined detective to unlock the truth. As usually, David Bosco's narrative abilities shine as he brings this book to life. A great read!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely. Funny, gripping and emotionally engaging, Timothy O’Leary’s draws the reader into the pages of this collection of stories that encompasses life and drama, amusement and despair, depicting those people we meet in real life, quirky or not. The stories are written well and without question, brought fully to life with the talents of narrator David Bosco, a master of voices with a new personality looming around each corner of the book. A undeniably fun listen that’ll put a smile on your face, evoke emotions and keep the listener engaged. Get yours!

Who was your favorite character and why?

The characters all shined, but the guy with the imaginary girlfriend... Priceless.

Have you listened to any of David Bosco’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. David Bosco's performance stands out in all his works. He has a superior range for voices and a feel for the characters' personalities, bringing an undeniable realism to stories. One of the best rising talents in the business.

If you could rename Dick Cheney Shot Me in the Face, what would you call it?

I like the offbeat title.

Any additional comments?

I'll be watching for Timothy O'Leary in the future, and the narration of David Bosco speaks for itself. Buy it.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes because of it's many dimensions and layers. Portrayed by teenagers, you'll find yourself rooting for the Eddie as much as shaking your fist.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Edge of Escape?

I like the way the novel shifted from past to present and beyond, keeping the reader engaged with the story.

Which scene was your favorite?

Not any one in particular. The author does a very nice job in getting across the main character, both from an evil stance and cheering for him.

Any additional comments?

The narrator does a very nice, professional job and puts the listener inside the pages of the book.

Would you consider the audio edition of Depravity to be better than the print version?

Both are good, but the narration by J. Scott Bennett breathes life into the characters and makes the audio version a powerful adaptation.

What did you like best about this story?

The book has alot of twists and turns, keeping he reader on his or her toes and a classic good verses evil story. It's also divided into several parts within one book, giving the reader a number of flavors within one book. All the characters are distinct and interesting; that fact is amplified by the narrator's strong performance.

Any additional comments?

The story, unfolding in a small Iowa town, is strong and the performance, exceptional. Surprises are lurking around corners, including an unexpected one at the end.

What did you love best about Carrie?

The depiction of a young girl under the mental duress of her peers. She carried both an innocence and growing evilness, brought on by what's sometimes regarded as the in-crowd in high school situations. Her character grew well throughout the story, until like a twig, it finally snapped and caught fire.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the way the reports of the incident were portrayed in the question and answer sessions, not to mention Carrie, the character herself. King's portrayal of an impoverished girl rising out of the ashes, taken to the high school dance, and then exacting vengeance at that moment when all the innocence, replaced by a need for revenge, snowballs (or in this case fireballs) into a final conclusion.

What about Sissy Spacek’s performance did you like?

As in the movie itself, Sissy Spacek's performance was striking. The only other thing that could have made it better, possibly, was King reading the work himself.

Who was the most memorable character of Carrie and why?

Carrie, of course, would be the towering character here, followed by her mother, obsessed with religion, to the point where things become dangerous and dark.

Any additional comments?

While always a fan of Stephen King, I hadn't read Carrie, but watched in the movies quite a few years ago. It was a solid read, and I loved the opening by Stephen King as to his thoughts of Carrie, and what sparked the novel into being.
