Historia
It's been seven years since the Seattle Strangler terrorized the city. His victims were all young, pretty, their lifeless bodies found wrapped in a home-sewn white dress. But there was one who miraculously escaped death, just before the Strangler disappeared. Lara Church has only hazy memories of her long-ago attack. What she does have is a home in Austin, a job, and a chance at a normal life at last. Then Texas Ranger James Beck arrives on her doorstep with shattering news: The Strangler is back....

Thriller mixed with TX Ranger romance.
Revisado: 04-12-25
This book was good, just somewhat predictable. The main character was a victim who survived the Seattle Strangler who was striking again. Good plot, good storyline, just a little too predictable. Worth the read though.

Historia
Sam Carlson is a projectionist in small-town Minnesota, where fantasies unspool in glorious black and white—for him and for his sweetheart, college-bound math whiz Sarah Haber. When the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor, Sam is sent to the Philippines and captured as a POW. Brutalized but unbroken by the Bataan Death March and POW camps, Sam is one of eighteen hundred starved and weakened prisoners herded into the cargo hold of a barbaric hell ship called the Arisan Maru, his survival doubtful.

Read this now! Don’t wait!!
Revisado: 03-09-25
Wow. This book was not what I was expecting and my heart almost broke so many times while reading it. This book is about a young couple who had dreams of a future, hers of going to college and becoming a teacher and his of being her husband. Her parents wanted her to find a doctor or lawyer and to keep an open mind, but all she loved was Sam. Sam’s parents were struggling during the Great Depression. He went to the National Guard with dreams of buying back his families farm that they had lost. 3 and a half years later as he was almost done with his contract and as she was ready for marriage, their lives changed forever. Sam becomes a prisoner of war and when teaching isn’t enough Sarah secretly becomes a code breaker for the government where she meets a man that falls in love with her. Can she love him or does she only have a heart for Sam…and will Sam even survive? This book was so worth the read. I would read it again! Highly, highly recommend.

Historia
Unable to catch a break in life or love as she approaches thirty, Charli Thurman sees red lights at every crossroads. And given the Thurman family’s tumultuous history, she knows things will only get worse, unless she can break the cycle and figure out where—and when—it all went wrong. Charli is skeptical when her best friend introduces her to a “soul reader” who specializes in generational trauma. But during family constellation therapy with the guru, Charli experiences an inexplicable memory of terrible violence.

Heartfelt read.
Revisado: 02-25-25
This book, though didn’t give me enough of an ending (iykyk), was definitely worth taking the time to read. It follows the story of a woman who has been made to feel unlovable. She follows a guru’s advice and learns a story of her past and through her journey learns to leave her guilt exactly where it belonged all along, in the past.

Detectives Child Missing…
Revisado: 01-27-25
This was a great read. Enjoyed it on audible. Basically, a child was abducted while her mother was outside a store setting up a carpool. Mysterious letters had been received tying back to the father (a detective) going back to work, but was the person writing the letters who had the little girl? And how does the person who needed his help who had to leave his office when he found out about his child tie in??? I enjoyed this book, definitely worth a credit.

Historia
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Wow!
Revisado: 01-21-25
This book was one twist and turn after another! When two young girls lose their mother and are taken to their grandmother instead of given to their father, their father must work to get them back…but things aren’t always what they seem. The grandmother has never been introduced to the kids or their father prior to this and something seems a little off. She seems like a friendly older lady but she does a few odd things that make you question her intentions. Then the question remains, what happened to their mother? But the twists don’t end there….this is definitely worth the read. You won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful Story!
Revisado: 01-15-25
What a beautiful story! This story intertwines the past of one woman with the present of another through their shared heartaches. When Rory walks past a building and feels like it is calling to her to open an art gallery in, she is met with an unexpected friendship that turns into so much more. This was a heart-warming story about the trials of history and love and has a Happy Ending! Would recommend!

Historia
When you've been told your whole life that something is sinful, you have two options. Avoid it like the plague, like it has the power to destroy all that is good and pure. Or become as fixated upon it as Eve was upon that apple. I'm sick of the push-pull of terror and temptation. It's tearing me apart. I just want a bite of the apple. More than a bite. I want to devour it. Have its juices spill from my lips. And by apple, I, of course, mean sex.

Notice of a plot.
Revisado: 11-07-24
I was disappointed in this read. I chose this book for the age gap but the story line wasn’t there, just mostly graphic details of the main characters exploration of the owner’s club. Wouldn’t recommend using a credit on this one…

Historia
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

Revisado: 07-10-24
The story follows a woman accused of murdering her best friend who is conned by her grandma into going back to her hometown where she gets involved in working with a podcaster to unravel the mystery of her friends death as she has amnesia from the night and isn’t even sure herself she did it. This book was a good audiobook as I’m not sure if I had been reading from all the different perspectives that I would have kept going.
