If Overlord was funny, in a good way

It was a lot better than I had been expecting, funny and Penny, good voice acting and commitment from the voice actors, and story that didn't take itself too seriously while being worthwhile. I hadn't expected a baking lesson from an undead gender ambiguous cat-maid, but it enjoyed all the same.

Short enough to read more than once.

I definitely recommend reading this more than once. If you not amazed by the end of the book, reverse time and bounce back into the book.

Entertaining!

I got the book from a recommendation, and glad I did. It was surprisingly complex. The story is interesting, but the writing set it apart: half romantic sweetness that can be fun casually, and half the experience of a (seemingly) real adult woman mistreated for her gender above her ability. A villain arc I completely enjoyed. looking forward to the hopeful sequel.

Really been enjoying this series but this is the best one yet. If you've just finished Book 2 and are wondering if its worth continuing, you have my assurance that it is.

Astoundingly Intellectually Challenging

Exactly what I want in book. Despite my degree in political science, it had never been brought up in class the meritacratic nature that was incorporated into nearly every ideology. Overcoming that bias meant not easy. The inability to put this book into any single polarizing category, religious vs secular or right vs left, meant the author's points couldn't be dismissed or even blindly accepted without careful thought. Its a book that will stay with me for a long time I suspect.

I absolutely.love Luke Daniels performance on everything and he does not.dissappoint. Xe Sands is good but the narration is quiet. I look forward to listening to more of her.
Kevin Hearne hits it out of the park. I listened to his Iron Druid Chronicles and loved them. But taking it from our world to a world of his own creation is a level of world building I didn't know he had. but boy.does he! it's excellent and I can't recommend it enough. can't wait to read the next novel.

Brilliant

As an atheist, I've shaked my head reading many books about the reconciliation of faith and religion. But this is the first book that I could read and agree with. The lessons of human compassion and togetherness in it grow more timely by the day. Absolutely worth the time, I look forward to listening to it again.

Best One Yet!

When I wasn't listening to this series, I found myself thinking about the characters. The whole series is well fleshed out and relatable, but I found this one to be the best in the line of pretty strong contenders. It's quick pased, addicting, and we'll worth the read. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Abuser 101

Contradictory and useless, don't read this book. This is how to be an abuses Boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse or whatever. It confuses power with manipulation. Maybe 4 of the 48 were useful, but there isnt a single one that is directly contradicted a moment later. It's as bad as those "wear a fake scare to get laid" advice. Save your time and ignore this book.

I've read both of his previous books, and although all of them are deeply insightful and thought provoking, this one excelled at being both practical and relatable. If you want to be more, read this book.
