i cried, i laughed, but mostly i cried.
i think the performance of this book is one of the best. all the narrators are incredible, and Steve West voice is the sexiest ever😍

i can't believe I waited so long to listen to this fantastic peace of comedy. this series is absolutely brilliant! i laughed myself sick listening to the diary of a lunatic 15 years old girl, and I'm not ashamed.
and it is so obvious that Louise Rennison is the queen of comedy, because I can't think of anyone better than her, to be doing the performance of those books. she is really groovy (😏).
I'll be sure coming back for this series when I'm in need of some cheering up.
really recommended for any age.

still a thing

i read it about 5 years ego and liked it, and i still enjoyed it.
i noticed that the language of the book is pretty simple, and it is not very quotable like other books in this genre, and it's still was a good and fun read. the characters are grey, the dialogue witty and funny, and story always runs.
i read that this narrator is supposedly dreadful, but i found her quiet alright.

The MC was a bit dumb, the MC love interest, a mighty demon, was the typical hot, snarky, secretly In love with the MC but acting like he hates her, we all know and love, and frankly, saw it in a gazillion other books of that sort.
but it was still a fun read,and menage to keep my interest. to shame i solved the grand mystery in the second chapter.
oh, and the narrator is great. appropriately dramatic. i listened to a lot of books with her,and she never disappoint.

İ am not a Naomi novak reader. İt's my fault completely, because i listened to her "Uprooted" novel instead of reading it, and it had a dreadful narrator, so it's kinda turned me off.
İ decided to give "Deadly Education" a try because all the reviews i read about was how the MC is a snarky, angry little brat, ,and those are my favorite kind!
And i am not disappointed at all! İ loved being in Els head. She was funny and witty and appropriately angry. And the thing is, i get her. İ get why she is the way she is. İ get that behind all this anger she is as wonderful and as kind as her mother raised her to be, and it was a great journey to reveal all this sides of her.
İ loved all the characters, they were complact and build accordingly to the world building.
And speaking of the world building. There where the problem of this book lay, why I'm giving it 3 instead of 5. İ have to be honest, i didn't understood half of it, and i think i may be stupid, because half of this book was a textbook. An actual textbook. Most of the time i felt like I'm being blasterd with so much information, that it just made me drift off, and i couldn't stand to go backwards and listen to it all over, so i just enjoyed myself with the other half of the book, the great dialogues, the moment with the love interest, those were wonderful
and that cliffhanger at the end! OMG
Another thing that made me not to DFY the book in it's downfall moments, was this amazing narrator. İ just love her voice, and the way she pronance words, and the way she say "Stupid" like she giving her all snarky soul into this one word. She's an excellent choice for this book!
All and all, I think Novak is a real talent, i think I may just give another go to her other books.

please change this narrator!

the story, is OK. my least favorite series of Cassie. but if you a Cassie reader, i believe that this book is a must read because the last book will be crossing the events of the first book of The Wicked Powers series. also, it was nice to see all the gang together again. but, and there's a huge BUT:
i don't understand how the producers of this series approved of this unprofessional narrator, who didn't even read/listen to the other books in the shadowhunters world. i mean, come on, Clary sounded like an old pedophile, Simon sounded like a stoner, and Jace sounded like a dump Jock. and don't even get me started on Jem, who does not supposed to have a chinese accent!!!
i read most of the reviews on of this book, and they all did not like this narrator, and I hope the producers will take this under considerations.
I'll still be reading the last book, obviously, but if they won't change BD Wong, i will probably read it instead of listen.

the performance was phenomenal! all the narrators were great (they all did an amazing Gorge 😍)
it's a very informative book, a good start for those who haven't read Clare's Los Angeles books and the series about Tessa and Wills kids, and also a heart warmer for those who did read them. i thought it too much of a smut and sweet at times, and even though some scenes made me roll my eyes, it did not ruined my enjoyment. I also was amazed at how much we got to know Isabelle here. she always seemed to me as the character we know least about, and I didn't really knew how she's really like. I loved how much she loves Simon! it was a surprise to me to see how sweet and full of heart she is. how it it didn't even cross her mind to give up on Simon. like it was obvious to her that he's hers, no matter what.
And also, it made me want to re read the Los Angeles series again 😍

awful narrative

I adore Harmons laugh out loud characters. it's not my favorite book of hers, but it's still better then most 'Gay For You' there is out there.
unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy this properly, because of the god damn awfull narrative! he doesn't have any kind of voice expressions, nor, any kind of different in his ton to indicate the different characters. honestly, this is such a shame. I usually buy an audiobook only when I'm positive I would love the book, and I was positive, especially after I listened to her Blueprint series. and if you want to hear a real high quality performance, you should try this one out.
seriously, i wish I would have read this book instead of listened to it. such a waist of time.

I started this audiobook a long while ego and I can't remember why I stopped. this book it's like a rollercoaster ride. I loved every minute of it. the characters are so flawed and wonderful. I adore Nina and Jasper 😍😍. highly recommended.
