What happened to the narrator? suze should be sounding older yes since she’s out of high school now… but the audiobook make her sound like a 50+ year old woman. And at times like a grandma… really.. it was good before.. why change too much 🥲 can’t make it thru the end i’m sorry… the story is good though.. i read this before.. i have it on my kindle…

Love the Book, But Not the Narrator...

Shouldn’t have paid for this, bring back the old narrator

Just get the book instead of this audiobook. if you want explanation read on, but its too long so TLDR and just listen to my advice. But if you want to understand why i said it.. then read on..Let me say this first, the narrator of the other books Johanna Parker is so much better. While this narrator should be retrained or something.. the pacing of her reading, the feelings to express each characters.. everything should be rated 0. She was a pain to listen to, I tell you. That I really really want to smack my head for not reading the reviews nor listening to the sample before hitting the buy/purchase button. And mind you, i should have been really suspicious why the heck it was shorter than the others.. yeah ‘coz apparently there were several from the book that was cut in this audiobook… that’s why i put 2 stars from it. It was my discontent that there was no mention of it whatsoever that it was an abridged one. And unfortunately unlike the previous books that are part of membership, this one i had to pay. So yeah after 30-40 minutes of self-torture listening to it, justifying to myself i should at least finish the 2hr book, I stopped. Coz I can’t help it. That’s how terrible the narrator is. And just decided to move on to the next audiobook since I have already read the entire series ages ago, no need to listen to this one and just get on to the next. Shame on me for paying the most terrible narrated version.. so please to anyone else, just read the book if you haven’t, and skip this audio.. then get to next volume. This is terrible I tell you. I don’t go around reviewing, but I realize I should add a review here to help others decide.
