Historia
In the 6th century BCE, the Greek philosopher Pythagoras—a man remembered today more for his theorem about right-angled triangles than for his progressive politics—founded a commune in a seaside village in what’s now southern Italy. The men and women there shared their property, lived as equals, and dedicated themselves to the study of mathematics and the mysteries of the universe.

It Took a Woman
Revisado: 07-18-23
I know from reading this bio that men have contributed also to this area of a utopian future but I believe that women, such as Ms Ghodsee could see it better. Thanks
I’m about to listen to the whole thing over.

Historia
The Riders Come Out at Night is the culmination of over twenty-one years of fearless reporting. Ali Winston and Darwin BondGraham shine a light on the jackbooted and sadistic cops known as “The Riders,” and the lack of political will and misguided leadership that have conspired to stymie meaningful reform. The authors trace the history of Oakland since its inception through the lens of the city’s police department, through the Palmer Raids, McCarthyism, and the Civil Rights struggle, the Black Panthers and crack eras, to Oakland’s present-day revival.

The Details Exposed
Revisado: 02-23-23
I liked that this book exposed the details of what has been going on within the Oakland Police Department which many expected anyway.
Anyone who seeks justice in policing should read it.
Oakland can one day, some day become a city of justice.
Let’s stay on it.

Historia
Boldly original, Inflamed takes us on a medical tour through the human body - our digestive, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, reproductive, immune, and nervous systems. Unlike a traditional anatomy book, this groundbreaking work illuminates the hidden relationships between our biological systems and the profound injustices of our political and economic systems.
