Historia
FBI agent Drex Easton is relentlessly driven by a single goal: to outmaneuver the con man once known as Weston Graham. Over the past 30 years, Weston has assumed many names and countless disguises, enabling him to lure eight wealthy women out of their fortunes before they disappeared without a trace, their families left without answers and the authorities without clues. The only common trait among the victims: a new man in their life who also vanished, leaving behind no evidence of his existence...except for one signature custom.

Historia
Mountain man and fur trader Jedediah Smith casts a heroic shadow. He was the first Anglo-American to travel overland to California via the Southwest, and he roamed through more of the West than anyone else of his era. His adventures quickly became the stuff of legend. Using new information and sifting fact from folklore, Barton H. Barbour now offers a fresh look at this dynamic figure.

Great read/listen

The narrator did an outstanding job but his incorrect pronunciation of geographical name was very irritating.

Historia
In 1980, the United States suffered the deadliest and most destructive volcanic eruption in its history when Mount St. Helens literally blew its lid off, the result of seismic activity during the eruption. What made the eruption all the more remarkable was that a fair amount of preparations had gone into anticipating it, after an earthquake in the area a few months earlier alerted federal geologists to the possibility of activity there. In fact, Mount St. Helens had been the cause of the earthquake itself, the result of its own lava flows under the surface.

The narrator overall did a very good job and would have received five stars had he taken the time to research, and use, the proper pronunciation of the names of rivers, cities and other locations used in the book.

Life has shifted for J. P. Beaumont. After a tragic accident that devastated - and ultimately disbanded - his Special Homicide Investigation Team, he accepts that he has left homicide detection behind at this point, but he has a lot of unanticipated free time on his hands. I'm a longtime JP Beaumont!
Revisado: 08-18-15
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The story is good, vintage JP Beaumont. I'm looking forward to the next in the series!
How could the performance have been better?
Overall, the performance was excellent. HOWEVER, you would think the performer, producer or director would verify the proper pronunciation of place names before releasing an audio book. The mispronunciation of BellingHAM through the entire book was flat out irritating. The pronunciation of Skagit (Valley, County, River) was also botched but it was used only once, I believe.
