Historia
I tell myself that Max couldn’t kill anyone. He’s a family man now, different to who he was before. Even so, I should go to the police right away. But I can’t. Because if I do, I’m scared they’ll start to suspect me. How much do I really know about the girl in room 12? And if the truth comes out, how far will I go to protect my precious family?

So damn boring
Revisado: 04-04-25
Kathryn Croft - if you have to do 2 books in your deal and you only have one real, actual unique good story, plluuuzzz just do the math ne book deal. Please dont turn out this over dramatized terribleness to hide the fact you have no plot and spent no time on this book. I can paint by numbers too

Historia
The day I was told I’d never be able to have a child, my world came crashing down. My husband says he still loves me, but I lie awake at night, wishing we could have a family. One morning, my husband’s side of the bed is cold and empty. I hear a noise and head downstairs. In the middle of the rug in my living room is a wooden drawer. Swaddled inside, with perfect rosy cheeks and beautiful round blue eyes, a baby gazes up at me.

Sooo predictable it’s insulting
Revisado: 03-11-25
So freaking predictable. No “mystery” is enjoyable if youre 5 steps ahead. Does she think her readers are that…slow

Historia
When the call came it seemed like the answer to my prayers. My career as a voice actor had been over for months and me and my little girl Scarlet were living back at my mum’s place. I felt like a failure professionally—and with Scarlet having problems at school, as a parent as well. So, when I was asked to narrate a new book by disappeared novelist Philippa Roberts I jumped at the chance, even if it meant leaving Scarlet with my ex, Hugo, for a few weeks. Hugo, with his perfect new home and his perfect new girlfriend Saskia. But this isn’t a dream come true. It’s a nightmare.

Ironically narration was ridiculous so over dramatic
Revisado: 02-24-25
Sadly the narrator sucked. So over dramati, melodramatic . Kind of ruined the story for me

Depressing and boring with too many characters such that you just don’t care about a lot of them.
