Historia
Everyone knows not to fall in love with your best friend. But when your best friend is Michael Becker, it’s impossible not to. He’s everything our town knows a Becker brother to be: devastatingly handsome, charming as a thief, and the icing on the cake - a sentimental musician who’s never without his guitar. And he was mine. At least, that’s what I’d convinced myself. Our bond was born in elementary school, strengthened by circumstance and the promise to always be there for each other, no matter what. And the best thing about my life was being friends with Michael Becker.

I swore I would never work at the whiskey distillery with my last name on it, that I would never be a part of my father's legacy. But when I graduated with my art degree and realized there were no jobs, the devil appeared, and I sold my soul, agreeing to work in the family business if he'd give me the art studio I'd always dreamed of.

Fab story!!
Revisado: 05-12-20
First, let me just say that I love... like love, love, love Kandi Steiner's covers! Like, all of them but I adore the fallish and neutral colors in this cover. It's just a stunning look! Besides the gorgeousness on the exterior. There is a beautiful inside as well. Mallory and Logan had a sexy, sweet story. Steiner packs some emotion into the story and she definitely pulls those heart strings. The characters are so perfectly developed and I loved all of them. The secondary characters are just as great and the main two. But Mallory and Logan were so different but they leaned toward each other until the just couldn't fight it anymore.
I really feel like we're getting some of Miss Steiner's best work yet here. It's developed and so full of emotion and heart. I really enjoyed the families dislike for each other and the way Mallory and Logan both instantly had distaste for each other based on their family’s history alone. I have a deep weakness for books that are really immersed in family relationships and love. I loved that in Neat but it actually brought about problems for Mallory and Logan. While they struggle with how to make their family happy and be happy within themselves, they also struggle with their own personal dreams. It seems the world is against them with every aspect of their lives, even their own family, except the one they least expected to be behind them. Yup, Miss Steiner worked my heart over alright!

Historia
Noah Becker is nothing but trouble. That's what Mama told me when I was a kid, kicking his pew in church and giggling at the games we'd play. It's what the town said when his father died and the Becker brothers went wild. And it's on repeat in my mind the day I walk into the whiskey distillery where he works to buy a wedding gift for my fiancé.

New narrators for me, I liked them!
Revisado: 05-12-20
Goodness, On the Rocks is a fantastic reminder to be who we are no matter our partner. Remember yourself. Like yourself. Don't change who you are on the outside or the inside for another person. Kandi Steiner's books always strike a chord in me. I feel like I walk into her books and always walk away with a greater knowledge of myself. That is something in itself to be proud of... there's always a lesson to be learned deep within Steiner's words.
The main characters, Noah and Grace, go through an intense story that really made me think. I loved the emotions in this one... the sweet and swoon able moments all resonated in my heart. Miss Steiner's words were so lyrical in feelings that I found myself really caught in the angst and feelings throughout.
I love a small town romance and this town was certainly perfect for the stage Steiner set. I really feel life family closeness and small town living go hand-in-hand... perhaps because you can't hide from anyone in a small town... but there is a closeness with Noah and his family that really reminds me of small towns I have lived in.
I really enjoyed the layered story here. I love... love... LOVE the deeper meaning and the looking inside oneself to their hopes and dreams.

I mean, life isn't always perfect!
Revisado: 03-13-20
Seriously, life isn't always perfect but we always expect the best to happen in books! I know, it's why we read and listen. I, however, enjoy the realistic feel of not always pleasant things happening. Like life sucks. Kristen Ashley tells ya how it is and you might not be exactly happy with the ending. But I feel it was right... who knew?! I really enjoyed the fantasy-type feel with romance and some hot sex!!
The narration was just a treat! I mean, it's a literal eargasm! They are all a delight and portray the full cast of characters. I'm really sad to see this all come to an end! It was so very worth it!

Few loose ends but great story, narration!
Revisado: 02-13-20
I love these two narrators and I'm not sure there's a better narrator for a hard biker like Jacob Morgan. He's just what I hear in my head! Liv and Damon are fighting against a budding attraction. Liv's learned her lesson once with Damon. She has built a wall around her heart. Damn has regrets but there's no time for that. He can't succumb to his wants and needs when danger is all around him. Ha! What heart ever paid attention to walks and words? None!! I will say that this story didn't tie everything up in a nice bow and I had some lingering questions.Still liked it though!

Wishing the women held their own a bit more!
Revisado: 02-13-20
At this point, I’m starting to get a grasp on who is who with at least the characters. Lining up the narrators would take me a bit but there isn’t a single narrator that I don’t enjoy so I don’t feel I need to research who is who with their characters as I am really digging this story! I'd love to point out favorites and rave about some of the narrators in particular but it just seems impossible to know really who is doing what voice and when. It might work for people in the business of narration but for me, an avid listener... I'm too scared to get wrong who is who. So know that all of you have done a euphonious pleasing harmony. I've enjoyed the collaboration immensely!
Writing a review for these books has been a lot harder than I had expected. The storyline is so thick and the depth of it all is just a lot to try and articulate. There’s so much to love! I don’t generally find myself crossing over into fantasy land often but I am glad I waded out in an area I’m not used too. However, while I enjoy so much of these books I would love to knock the men’s heads together. They are so sexist and so darn bossy that they nearly turn me off. I do wish the women would put them in their places a bit more. Always, you can definitely feel the climax coming to a head and I’m ready for it!

Revisado: 02-13-20
This was quite the lively story! I enjoy Tom and Becky so very much as characters. I have been reading or listening to Rachel Abbott for years now and I always enjoy her books. She packs in some action with a twisted and thrilling situation with personal lives and how these characters progress over time. The narrator Lisa Coleman has a pleasant voice. I’m not sure if she adds to the thrilling feel of the story or if the story is that thrilling, either way. I liked it!

After the way my first love took off for the ends of the earth, the last thing I want is to see him on billboards and bookstore bestseller shelves. That's easier said than done, because when we reconnect, I learn Hunter has his own agenda on this project. And it's not to find a treasure in art and antiques. It's me. But what we discover shocks both of us, and we have no choice but to follow the clues....

Sweet story!
Revisado: 02-13-20
These narrators were great together! I love Andi Arndt, she's seriously a favorite of mine! I could listen to her talk for hours and hours! Scott Eastwood was also pretty good. He sounded great with Andi's soft feminine voice. I do wish he packed more emotion in that voice of his but I'm unsure if he's been narrating previously or not. I liked him and would listen to more... I hope he expands a bit more in training. I do think he could give the other popular male narrators a run for their money... literally!
I did enjoy the story itself. It's just what I expect from Lauren Blakely. It's a sweet second chance and this part 1 definitely left me wanting more. I was happy the various parts of the story were released just weeks apart.

Hunter Armstrong sauntered back into my life unexpectedly, all lopsided grin, mischievous eyes and rugged determination. Not to mention a huge heart. He's nearly impossible to resist, but that's what I have to do as we follow the clues in a trail of love letters from a century ago. But with every new twist in the story, this treasure hunter seems to set his sights more firmly on reclaiming my heart.

Sweet and charming!
Revisado: 02-12-20
Am I the only one that now pictures Hunter as Scott Eastwood?! Who knew he was so dreamy looking?! Add that to his sound and I am sold! I will say that he needs a tad more emotion in his voice but really I'm just searching. I enjoyed it all! But mix that up with these top notch narrators and I couldn't get enough of these amazing characters. I really enjoyed the second chance storyline and those letters! Hunter and Presley grew so much and I loved this ended... sweet and charming!
