Historia
Erebus Resort, occupying a magnificent, hundred-thousand acre valley deep in the Colorado Rockies, offers guests the experience of viewing woolly mammoths, Irish Elk, and giant ground sloths in their native habitat, brought back from extinction through the magic of genetic manipulation. When a billionaire's son and his new wife are kidnapped and murdered in the Erebus back country by what is assumed to be a gang of eco-terrorists, Colorado Bureau of Investigation Agent Frances Cash partners with county sheriff James Colcord to track down the perpetrators.

Entertaining overall
Revisado: 05-17-24
Overall I did enjoy the authors story and development. Several parts where rather predictive, but they did not take away from my enjoyment of the story overall. Perhaps a minor thorn that took me out of the story, but as prior military member, my greatest issue was the mis-identifing of every small arms rifle as an AR-15, This really struck me as low information as if the author had identified every vehicle in the story, be it a car, sedan, convertible or truck, as a Ford Taurus.

Historia
Tornadoes, cyclones, tsunamis… Weather can be deadly – especially when it strikes without warning. Millions of Americans could soon find themselves at the mercy of violent weather if the public data behind lifesaving storm alerts gets privatized for personal gain. In his first Audible Original feature, New York Times best-selling author and journalist Michael Lewis delivers hard-hitting research on not-so-random weather data – and how Washington plans to release it.

This is a political writing trying to pass itself as science and technology. I enjoyed the history sections of the book as they related to individual accomplishments in science and technology but was not interested in listening to another political book, be it in support or critical of Obama or Trump. No wonder the book is free.

Historia
Since he was a small boy, Mosab Hassan Yousef has had an inside view of the deadly terrorist group Hamas. The oldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a founding member of Hamas and its most popular leader, young Mosab assisted his father for years in his political activities while being groomed to assume his legacy, politics, status...and power. But everything changed when Mosab turned away from terror and violence and embraced instead the teachings of another famous Middle East leader.

I look forward to listening to this again very soon. I've already recommended the book to several people that have an interest in middle east affairs.

Great mix of history and culture
Revisado: 11-13-17
I listen to this book in preparation for a 30-day Global Water Initiative visit to help build sustainable water sources for smaller island villages. I found the books first part covering the of history of the Philippines to be very enlightening. The second part of the book really goes into a better understanding of cultural introduction that is highly helpful for a westerner to include mentioning things to be on the wary of as only drink sealed bottle water.
