Historia
Why is Red Bull so popular, though everyone—everyone!—hates the taste? Humans are, in a word, irrational, basing decisions as much on subtle external signals (that little blue can) as on objective qualities (flavor, price, quality). The surrounding world, meanwhile, is irreducibly complex and random. This means future success can’t be projected on any accounting spreadsheet. To strike gold, you must master the dark art and curious science of conjuring irresistible ideas: alchemy.

An excellent read from a different perspective. For technologists I think this explains the fundamentals of the way Toyota thinks

With advancements in cosmetic surgery, walk-in treatments, augmented reality face filters, photo editing apps, and exposure to more images than ever, we have the ability to craft the image we want everyone to see. We pinch, pull, squeeze, tweeze, smooth and slice ourselves beyond recognition. But is our beauty culture truly empowering? Are we really in control? In Pixel Flesh, Ellen Atlanta holds a mirror up to our modern beauty ideal, as well as the pressure to present a perfect image, to live in an age of constant comparison and curated feeds.

Fascinating insight
Revisado: 11-16-24
Matt does an excellent job and shining a spotlight on the people and personalities that make up an F1 team. Even more insightful is that this is not Mercedes at their peak, it is both when they are feeling pain and trying to turn it around. A gripping listen, that has bought a new dimension to F1 books

A great follow up
Revisado: 10-14-24
This book seems a balanced insight into SpaceX, explaining the great achievements without being a fan boy, to describing the personalities and the technical struggles within. Thoroughly recommend
