It is the first in the series called Gate Jumpers. The book is a mesh of things I like. It is set slightly in the future and is about a group of special forces guys that are trying to stop enemies from another dimension. It has Elves, Orcs, Demons, and even annoying Gnomes.

This book to me is like Shadowrun meets Stargate. Many military style jokes, references to books in Litrpg genre and coffee. Anything else i would write would take to much time that should be spent reading. Enjoy because i sure did!

A non-newb dungeon core

I am really interested in the next book in the series Jonathan did a great job in providing a different then a lot of others with a logical non-newb dungeon core that is not going to scale up to being overpowered. While I could write more I won’t because you should be listening to this book and not reading reviews

While I enjoyed the book can’t say I will continue with the series there was nothing that made the story stand up and say find out more. While there is a hook there I didn’t find the bait good enough. I sure others could like or even love the book I could not connect enough with it.

A Unique Dungeon Core

No invaders, no heroes just a monster and his victims this is more psychological/horror then any other dungeon core book I have read. While there was nothing wrong with book I wouldn’t recommend this book to people looking for a traditional litrpg/dungeon core experience. I didn’t enjoy this book and won’t listen to it again, however this is not a reflection of the book but my personal tastes and this was just too dark for me to enjoy however it did provide unique take on a dungeon core experience
