I really wanted to like it

it's more of a preference but I didn't like the writing style. The author wrote it so they were always repeating the character's name with an action. The narrator spoke in a similar volume so there was no variance. I started to tune out the story and had to rewind it, realizing I missed it. It has a good premise (shoulder shrug).

the voices were well done. I liked them a lot. the story came alive on my mind. Reik (sp?), I loved his overprotectiveness, his praising, his leadership, which may sound corny but he took charge over Egon and that gave off such good Alpha vibes. Egon was cute. wish we got more backstory on each of their families though..

The girls did it again! love these men. The book is lighter than I normally read. I prefer dark and disturbing romance. Angst and really steamy. Enemies to lovers, But these guys are just sweet! I love their love. wish there was more backstory with Wes, more backstory with Jamie but that's how it always goes when you really like a character.

The female performer is so blasé, Sarah Puckett. Her voice is annoyingly monotone; no infliction whatsoever, which sucks because I really like this author... she writes great male characters, but her female MCs end up being easily boring or manipulated or walked over or weak in general.
