Historia
Degradation of the Desperate Daughter. That could be the theme song to my life. Always second choice. Second best. Second born. Maybe that’s what possessed me to track down my father’s most formidable enemy, the infamous Enzo Fikile. He’s the nation’s most eligible bachelor, and the crime world I was born into’s biggest threat, but not because he wants to tear it down. No. This man wants to claim his place within it, and if the whispers working their way around are anything to go by, he’s well on his way. And I just offered him a golden ticket.

Lord Have Mercy 🥵🥵
Revisado: 04-25-25
I thoroughly loved this book when I read it. I didn’t think it could be better, but then I heard Alex Kydd narrate as Enzo Flipping Fikile and holy hotness Batman! His way of talking with a slow, deep impactful voice brought Enzo to life. I could listen to this story on audio repeatedly and be happy. Kathryn Lynhurst did a great job as Boston.
Boston is such a strong willed MFC and she’s always been overlooked or put in a position of just being the other daughter. She’s been through so much and has learned to depend in herself. Enzo is a strong willed MMC and he just wants her to HEAR, not listen, to his words and his actions. She doesn’t at first, but man, when she does, the picture he shows…that’s devotion and love. This audio really has the tension kicked up between Enzo and Boston and I have to say it again, Alex Kydd’s talent took it to another level.
Enzo has beaten out the Brays for me. He is the ultimate adult book boyfriend of all of Meagan Brandy’s for me, while Noah Riley still holds the spot for book boyfriend of his age range.

I’m just so exhausted—always living on the edge of desperation, one paycheck away from ruin. But this new job… It could be the fresh start I need. It could change everything. The contract is only for three months, but if I keep my head down, work hard, and prove myself, maybe I could stay longer. Maybe I could make Black Mountain Lodge my home. As I pull down the gravel drive, surrounded by the forest and mountains and bright blue skies, I feel something I haven’t felt in a while. I feel hope.

Sterling In More Than One Way
Revisado: 04-24-25
I read the book prior to listening and I loved the story. The audio kicked it up, especially with Connor Crais as the male narrator. His gruff voice was a perfect fit for Sterling Black. Erin Mallon was good as Courtney, but there were times when her intonation didn’t hit me well. She has this exhalation sound at the end of some words and it just takes me out of the moment. You can hear it on every chapter title when she says Courtney and on words during chapters. That’s the only reason I gave the performance 4 stars instead of five.
I’m sure it will hit differently for other listeners. It happened before in an audiobook narrated by her and I forgot about it until I was listening to Mountain Boss.
If you average my stars, then this audiobook gets a 4.67 star rating. 😀

Historia
I was eight when Nathan moved away. He was my best friend. My only friend. My safe space. And then he was gone. And my life turned into Hell. But I survived. I broke free and made a life for myself. And I tried to forget about the boy who grew up to be Nate Waller, the famous retired football player. I really did try to forget. But then I opened the door, while working at a client’s house, and he was there. Standing before me. My old friend. My unwitting confidant. My Nathan. Except… he doesn’t recognize me.

Loved It!
Revisado: 03-28-25
I read and loved the book.
I listened and loved the audio.
This is the first book I’ve listened to narrated by Christian Fox. I enjoy the relaxed pace he uses when he speaks. For me, it made me feel like the character of Nathan Waller was taking his time and savoring every interaction with Rosie. I enjoyed Andi Arndt’d narration as well. I’ve listened to other books by her.
I’m a listener who needs to know the story before listening to it, otherwise my mind wanders. There were parts I either forgot or skimmed over as I read, because some scenes seemed brand new, even though they matched with the text. If you are a fan of SJ Tilly’s books, you’ll enjoy this audiobook.

I caught her staring at me from across the quad, eyes fixed on the football jersey stretched across my wide chest. And if I flexed my muscles, showing off the strength of a defensive tackle, it was just to see her blush. And then she did, and I couldn’t get her out of my mind. Her wide eyes. The freckles on her cheeks. I needed to know her. The girl who scampered away every time we bumped into each other—by accident and by design.

Lovely Novella
Revisado: 03-11-25
This was a quick audiobook for the prequel novella to Love, Utley by SJ Tilly. I enjoyed the two narrators, Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt. They did another wonderful job of voicing Hannah and Maddox.

Historia
Maddox Lovelace. The captivating football player I met in college. The one I only knew for a week. A week that was...life-changing. Until my phone rang, and I had no choice but to go home. I left Maddox a letter, putting my feelings on paper, giving him my number, hoping he'd call. But he didn't call. He never called. He got drafted into the professional league and lived like a king while I stayed home and struggled to stay afloat.

Loved It!
Revisado: 03-08-25
I enjoyed Love, Utley as a book and that stayed as I listened to the audiobook. Jacob Morgan did a wonderful job as Maddox. He does a great job of voice tones and levels throughout the book. Andi Arndt was lovely as Hannah. Both voice actors were able to convey the different emotions needed throughout the story.
This is dual narration for anyone wondering, which means each narrator voices all the characters in his/her labeled chapters.

Great Narration
Revisado: 12-06-24
Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East did a fabulous job of bringing voice to Liam and Zoe. I enjoyed the story when I read it, but hearing the voice inflections from both narrators and the grumpiness of Liam
by Shane East kicked it up a notch.
I recommend this audio and would encourage others to read and/or listen to Karla Sorensen’s stories and other books narrated by these two.

Historia
Trauma nurse Aly Cappellucci doesn’t need any more kinks. She likes the one she’s landed on just fine. To her, nothing could top the masked men she follows online. Unless one of those men was shirtless, heavily tattooed, and waiting for her in her bedroom. She dreams about being hunted by one in particular, of him chasing her down and doing deliciously dark things to her willing body. She never could have guessed that by sending one drunken text, those dreams would become her new reality.

Kicked It Up!
Revisado: 11-17-24
when I originally read the story in book form, I rated it a three star. It was good, but it wasn’t necessarily something that I would want to purchase and reread over and over. I did get the audio version for less than a dollar, which is why I chose to try it. In addition to the reviews I had seen.
This book in audio was 100% better than just reading it. The voice inflections of the male narrator and his use of a voice modulator really kicked up those scenes and added the imagery with it.
I can see myself re-listening to this story now and it has gotten me interested in the next in the series that will be coming out. I’m not sure if I will personally buy the book or just go straight to audio, I guess it depends on who the narrators are.

Kept My Interest
Revisado: 10-18-24
I admit that when I read the book, it didn’t blow me away like the previous one in the series. I enjoyed it, don’t get me wrong, but it just didn’t grab me and make me wanna read without sleeping this audiobook on the other hand seemed to bring more to the story than just the written words. both narrators did an excellent job of portraying their characters and I can see myself re-listening to this audiobook in the future.

Historia
Okay, so my bad for assuming the guy I was going on a date with wasn't married. And my bad for taking him to a friend's house for dinner, only to find out my friend is also friends with his wife. Because, in fact, he is married. And she happens to be at my friend's house because her husband was "busy working." Confused? So am I. Unsurprisingly, my date's wife is super angry about finding out that her husband is a cheating asshole. Girl, I get it. Then to make matters more convoluted, there is the man sitting next to my date's wife. A man named King, who is apparently her brother.

Enhanced the Story
Revisado: 04-11-24
I loved this book when I read it and enjoyed it more while listening. The male narrator’s voice truly fitting King. I’ve only been listening to audiobooks for less than 2 years and prefer to listen after I’ve read the book. King and Savannah’s journey was fun to listen to, especially all those little moments when King falls prey to his attraction and feelings. I’m looking forward to listening to Dom, next.
Great job on this audiobook!

Historia
Running away from home at 17 wasn't easy. Let's face it, though, nothing before or in the ten years since has ever been easy for me. And I'm doing okay—sorta. I just need to keep scraping by, living under the radar. Staying out of people's way, off people's minds. When a man walks through my open patio door, stepping boldly into my home and my life, I should be scared, frightened, terrified. I must be more broken than I realized because I'm none of those things. I'm intrigued—and I'm wondering if the way to take control of my life is by giving in to him.

Voices Make Such a Difference
Revisado: 03-07-24
I've read Nero a few times, but this was my first time listening. It's also the first time I listened to these specific narrators. As with most of the audiobooks I have listened to, it takes me a chapter or two to get into the listening zone since my head had voices when I read, but now with narrators I have to get used to them. That being said, I enjoyed this audiobook. Jack Calihan's voice intonations took getting used to, but as the story progressed, I was just hearing Nero speak, so that's a great thing. Chloe Ryan did a good job as Payton. If you enjoy stories about red flag waving men who are good behind their bad, this is most likely something you will like.
