This outstanding historical recording made in 1941 for radio is widely regarded as one of the finest Hamlet performances ever, and one of John Gielgud's greatest moments. Though he went on to record it for commercial release, nothing matched this recording in the BBC studios, made before the days of editing.

I would like to share a bottle of wine...

... with Gene while sitting on a swing bench on a backporch in Conneticut. That's how I felt after listening to him recount his memoirs. Even with all the bizarre trauma, he was able to muddle through and luck out into a good life. He read the book as deadpan as his delivery with just a sparkle of emotion here or there which was enough to peak my interest further. Good job.

If you are easily shocked by potty mouth language, this book is not for you. However, if you enjoyed Moon Unit Zappa's one claim to fame and Leslie Nielson's take on vampires...mixed somehow with "Return of the Living Dead" (1980s version) you are on the right track. There were several laugh out loud moments.
