sometimes a character grows on you slowly. with 3 key characters, it was easy to focus on one for a while, then another. soon I was investing all of them.

Love great short stories like this

I really enjoyed listening to the story. Had to back up a couple times because I didn’t wanna miss anything. Each “letter,” is powerful, and tells so much. I forgot how great it is to get a full story from something short, instead of being mired in the endless prose of a writer who likes to write for themselves. I enjoyed this much more than the last few 10-hour listens I have to say. I will definitely be putting this author on my “must listen” list.

Wanted to skip through to know who all the husbands were, but that would have spoiled the beauty of the slow rollout of the story. I enjoyed the dual storyline and the way each decade revealed more about both women.

just this episode alone, I am overwhelmed by the number of really great and interesting items that I'm going to have to add to my wish list. I hate/ love you all!

Sometimes Scary Content Impacts NOT How Expected

Sometimes I find myself concerned with listening to stories that have darker content. However, in this instance I actually found by the end of the book that I was sort of cathartically regenerated. The story let me purge my mind of old hates and old pain in an odd way.
But isn't that what's great about fiction? That we get to apply the parts we need to our own selves when we need them?
I definitely know I'm going to have to listen to more of the books by this author and definitely listen to more books by the two narrators because I feel changed in a good way. So thank you!

it was a nice story and. easy listen. Not a huge amount of drama that I would expect in a romance, The characters were likeable and the voices were top-notch.

Enjoyed part one the most

There's something interesting when you listen to an actor's voice you know. Jesse Eisenberg has a very comfortable voice. and I mean that in a very positive way...it felt nice to listen to the story.
The story is told in three parts read by three different voices. Each is a character and relates to the other two parts, but there are time jumps so you have to pay a little attention on that.
I enjoyed the connection between the three parts, but the first part was my favorite.

Good Self help in the guise of a novel
