Historia
Simon Basset, the irresistible Duke of Hastings, has hatched a plan to keep himself free from the town's marriage-minded society mothers. He pretends to be engaged to the lovely Daphne Bridgerton. After all, it isn't as if the brooding rogue has any real plans to marry - though there is something about the alluring Miss Bridgerton that sets Simon's heart beating a bit faster. And as for Daphne, surely the clever debutante will attract some very worthy suitors now that it seems a duke has declared her desirable.

Know what you’re getting into
Revisado: 01-21-23
The review I have written elsewhere is too long and drawn out to get to the point. Big content warning for rape. The story is fine as someone who doesn’t read period pieces or romance it wasn’t for me. Besides the cringeworthy and expected sex scenes there is definitely a scene that portrays and romanticizes rape.

Tens across the board

I would recommend this book to everyone. We can all learn about communicating more effectively and understanding each other with compassion in the way Dylan Marron explores this. I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t benefit from reading. Great performance as well.
