Historia
Growing up in the green room of SNL, being born to a fire-eater and adopted by a SWAT cop, having internal organs explode, and adopting a deaf girl from China, Scarlet Hiltibidal has been given some strange life experiences - and lived in fear through most of them. But life changed for Scarlet when she learned to hold the gospel up to her fears and realized that though she can't fix herself or protect herself, Jesus walked into this broken, sad, scary place to rescue, love, and cast out her - and your - fear.

Scripture is powerful!
Revisado: 06-03-24
This book stood out to me from the minute I saw the title. As someone who has struggled with severe health anxiety and just about any other anxiety since being a little girl (I’m leaving a review using my husband’s account!), afraid of “all the things” hit the nail right on the head! There were parts of this book I could have penned myself almost word for word.
I’m grateful for Scarlett being brave and writing this, because through her, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the power of scripture. Sometimes you forget that you have such a weapon to battle the enemy with and you end up without the armor of God and you find yourself standing in the middle of an open field in a nightgown, hoping the enemy doesn’t see you as a threat and leaves you alone. The enemy wants us to forget the power of knowing God’s word because he knows it whips him. As a mother of four, ages 8 down to a newborn, I needed to be reminded of this…to be reminded to intentionally seek God and open His Word. To prepare myself for the daily battle, because without these things, I am not only not a threat to Satan, but I am lukewarm, which is terrifying.
God bless you, Scarlett, for such a reminder! May the Lord use this book to wake up everyone who reads or listens to the realization that for one who follows Christ, death is only the beginning and until that day, we can hold fast and see His hand in our lives.

Water for the weary mom’s soul!
Revisado: 11-08-23
I am so grateful this audio recording was available, I purchased the hardcover version, but with homeschooling 7 and 8 year old boys and a 3 year old daughter who is everywhere all at once running around, I kept not finding time to sit down and soak it in. This recording, read by Sally, was a gift! I listened while I cleaned, drove, and cooked dinners. It awoke the wonder in my own heart to really be present with my kids and be excited about learning with them. It inspired me while I cleaned house and picked up missing socks, drawings, and pillows from the couches- knowing that if I surrender to my vocation and do it with all my heart unto the Lord, I would be “building my home for eternity”. That line from the book made tears fill my eyes! Lord, let that be my desire.
Thank you, Sally, for such an incredible book to meet us all where we are, in whatever season of motherhood we are in.
