Wolf Rain is part of the Psy-Changeling series #18 and a continuation of the Trinity #3 series which is written by Nalini Singh and narrated by Angela Dawe.

No Spoilers:

First, I want to mention how grateful I am that this amazing author decided to remain with the same narrator even after twenty-one stories told, thanks to Nalini. Yes, I believe there might be some other narrators I can think of that could do a great job as well yet, Angela has been there from the beginning and does a fantastic job with every single character. Each character is completely unique and I am able to tell who is talking without the mention many authors do ahead of time during conversations, wonderful job. To many of my series have been completely ruined due to a change of narrators after ten novels, it is pivotal (even if the narrator could be replaced with a much better one) to remain with their first pick, obviously, this is not the case with Ms. Dawe, thankfully.

It is obvious by now if you have continued to read this far into my review that it is understood that I am a fan of the Psy-Changeling series. Nalini Singh is a wonderful world builder and has an imagination that is vast. What I appreciate about this series is the believability of this storyline occurring in my day to day life. If you are reading my review on Wolf Rain do not start here, go back to Slave of Salvation and enjoy my friend because you are in for an amazing journey of love, sadness, oppression, liberation, strong resolute characters, and always a happily ever after.

The hero of Wolf Rain is Alexei Harte a wolf shifter from the Snow Dancers' pack, up until this story I had not heard much of Alexei except for a few video conferences between their alpha and his top tier of wolfs. Alexei is running one of the dens within the Snow Dancers territory and during one of his runs he is nearly overcome by such strong emotion he is nearly brought to his knees. For such a person to feel such strong pain worries him and for that individual to be on his territory is an even greater issue. Alexei finds an abused woman named Memory deep within the earth, and during this story, they each learn how to trust and heal with the help of the other. The continuation of the Trinity storyline occurs and the reader can hear how all our favorite characters are doing. Ms. Singh is great about allowing her readers to catch up with not simply the last characters but most of the main characters we have spent time with throughout her series, this is a great way to help her readers feel apart of the story, not just a bystander.

If you have read all of the stories up until Wolf Rain there is no reason to stop now, this is a great addition to an already substantial series, enjoy!

This is book 7 of the Phoenix Pack series. Suzanne Wright also has the Mercury Pack series which is a spin off of the Phoenix Pack stories. This book I was really looking forward to because I was very curious of how she would go about writing about a wolf that in previous books was always spoken of as bi-sexual. However I think that with this being book 10 they are becoming to predictable. This series seems to follow a pattern with different traumatic event. Don't get me wrong though I did love this book and listened to it over a weekend. I did fast forward a few times but ended up going back to listen another day.
Trick Hardy is an enforcer for the Phoenix Pack and he has always had a carefree attitude about mating. It was nice to see him have to hide the mating and then to take things slow and at Frankie's pace. Frankie is a wolf that has been separated from shapeshifters most of her life. So getting to know Trick and a new way of life was refreshing.
I do not regret purchasing this new addition to Wright's pack life and I am sure I will end up listening to it again on a slow evening. Jill Redfield the narrator did a wonderful job as well she hardly ever fails to read great! So in other words if you have already read all of this series then this book is a must. I do not think this would be a good stand alone book though.

Happy Listening!!!

I read paranormal romance books daily however they are all considered adult. However when I do find a great story it doesn't matter whether or not its YA or adult. The world building is so great. Kresley Cole has done it again. I love her adult series and I wasn't disappointed with this series and you won't either. The only thing I found that is not adult is the sex. There is some but not much. It is also a love triangle but has not been as annoying as I normally find them.
Be warned once you start reading you won't stop put aside plenty of time.

I had a hard time with this book but after I got used to the narrator I listened to the whole book. Even decided to see how the story played out in the second book in the series. Relentless is supposed to be a romance book however I didn't see it.
Sarah drive me quite nuts w with her tough girl attitude. There is a big difference between Independence and just simply stupidity. She didn't even want a female to give her comfort for goodness sakes. I had to continue to remind myself that I was in the head of a 17 year old. I have gotten used to young girls acting adult. No matter what the story did suck me in so I did give it three stars. Enjoy with patience..

This novella is about a collared alpha wolf shifter/tracker named Brodrick and his reformed hacker girlfriend Joanne. Brodrick has been in and out through out this series so far. He tried to mate claim Maria (Ellison's mate). Brodrick first met Joanne in the book (crap can't remember) something with bear in the title. Anyways her sister went missing and the only lead Joanne had was she was last seen with a shifter. Either way Joanne sent lots of trouble to the San Antonio shifter town in the form of tons of cops. Brodrick stood up for her and it meant a lot. They became close and this is their story.
Oh and if you fell in love with the cat uncollated shifter Shamus as I did then part of his is in this as well.
Sneak peak...if you are curious about Fairy then listen in you won't be disappointed. No matter how grumpy Brodrick seems and well truly is he loves Joanne that's for sure.
Last but not least I loved David Brenner and wish he would've read all the books. He makes the alphas sound like they should but more than that I think I just liked to listen to his commentary. Enjoy..I sure did

I have listened to all of the Shifters Unleashed series and love them all. Jennifer Ashley had a great idea with collared shifters.
Mason has been in other stories and is the youngest brother of Brodrick. He reminded me very much of Brodrick as well. A grumpy young wolf shifter. He isn't far past his transition (puberty) and a great match for the young physic/witch.
If you love paranormal romance about shifter wolves finding their true mate then you will definitely love this story.
A lot of authors go into great detail in world building and at times that can be great. However Jennifer Ashley did a great job of keeping our world as is but adding to it a bunch of amazing creatures.
Oh and since this is a novella its not needed to advance the story line but the start of Zander's story is in here an shouldn't be missed. (Yeti..Lol). Also the spooky house spoke of on the recently released Red Wolf is brought into the story line. Enjoy...I know I did!

I have listened to all of the psy-changling series. I love the world Singh made very much. However Angela Dawe confuses me. It seems until Kiss of Snow her narration was decent. Then came the last three books starting with Caleb's book. I have heard her yawn repeatedly swallow etc in the recording. It's confusing why she started to sound so robotic. She does awesome with the different voices except the voices of the automation of the arrows. Its amazing how I can tell the difference in voice of twenty different cats and wolfs.
I want to advice reading paperback instead of audio however I enjoyed listening to this amazing world change in such a huge way.
Nalini Singh is unique in adding a ton of little titles which conside with each novel. It adds to the experience. She brought me into a whole new world I don't want to leave. I have listened to the whole series at least twise. She is now in a very little group of authors that I have on replay. I can't wait until the next book in a few months to find out how Trinity will prosper. So you can see why it's hard for me to decide on how to rate this book.

Every single person sounded the same. I guess I also didn't expect to hear the Jersey accent. I couldn't get past that male Panthers sounded like little girls and all the girls sounded the same and with that darn accent.
The story could've been good but I couldn't bare to listen so I know it's bad when u fast forward several times in a 2 hour story.

This short novel is not so much about the eroticism of the family dinamic, since they aren't really siblings. Its just plain funny. I play this book for a good laugh. So buy this book if you don't mind some language and want to hear the mind of a hilarious 18 year old girl thats in love with her step brother that is WAY too big down there. lol
