Degrading to ER nurse practitioners

The book takes an ER nurse practitioner with six years of advanced college degree working in the emergency room in New York City. A job In which you have to be very assertive and turns her into a psychologically abused woman who never once thinks of fleeing back to her regular job. The story might be slightly believable if a woman had no skills to make any money in the United States. But this woman could’ve lefty at any time, divorced the guy and moved back to her job in a day. The book is degrading overall to any professional women who has the ability to make a very decent salary. If you reverse the roles and put it as the housekeeper, it would’ve been believable, but even that person would’ve been reaching out to friends, family and anyone to get out of the abusive marriage. the book could’ve been 40% shorter because it just goes over and over and over with more psychological abuse degrading this professional woman who allows it to happen with virtually no defense at all for herself. Not once did she tried to leave this psychologically abusive situation. So overall, I say "meh"

The book is just an OK read it’s basically about unhappy couples and a relatively crazy and severely unrealistic plot ending. Easy to follow.

this book was just so so. It was super easy to follow so if you miss some of it, you’re still right on track. It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad. It was definitely not great.

very unrealistic, a cut off ending

it was very, very unrealistic with a cut off ending. it ended like a short story. I think this book could’ve been good with a good editor and somebody to point out a couple critical facts that were missing. I kept waiting for something to happen and waiting to see why the main character does nothing to fix her situation. Even called the fire department for all the keyed locks on all the windows and doors. it wasn’t bad, but I think I got pissed off more than enjoyed the story. lol

Not great.should be a short story

you can really just listen to the first four chapters and skip to the last chapter and you will be disappointed. It felt like it was gonna go somewhere and it never did. When the guy goes missing, the woman just goes on and on and on and on and on about still marrying the guy for months, like it was her first teenage love, but she she’s not a teenager.
The last chapter is just a letdown. This wouldn’t even be a good short story. I’m not sure how it got past the editor. Chapter 1 is the same as chapter 2-32 and then it ends at chapter 33.

The main character is now an Unhappy/whiny wife, that's the story up to chapt 26. Sounds like a nonfiction. Zero mystery just an unhappy wife who has become a whiner. The first two books in this series rocked but this has gone nowhere in 26 chapters. I don't cases to listen to an unhappy wife story. I will try to continue but the whining kills me.

started out good then took a nose dive

it started out good then took a nose dive.. The beginning was very good and then it got lost and has someone traveling back in time for 20 years just so she could see her dad again. Then it got super weird towards the end when they decide the travel back in time and save people, with no real plot development... If it had an editor I think it could have been great. I finished it but the second half of the book is not good.. The only likable character was the dad and he had a very small part.. It's kind of like the book started out great and then the rest of it's just kind of thrown together to finish the book

not great and no suspense. I could not finish it. the plot was all over the place and there was no main character. somehow a space station gets involved, totally off plot. I don't think this book had an editor. LOL. I can not recommend it .

it starts out good then becomes hard to follow. it becomes different stories and I'm left thinking what does this section have to do with the plot? it's like separate sections that are not easy to bring together for the listener, me..
