Historia
In the darkness beyond the galaxy, there are monsters. Some swim closer to the light, drawn by the beacon that is the Astronomican, while others stalk the Void, predators in the dark. The Carcharodons have hunted for millennia, but now they are drawn into a new blackness...the Dark City of the drukhari itself. Commorragh. For a thousand years, Chaplain Tangata Manu has searched for a relic lost under his watch: an ancient thing, once charged into the keeping of the Forgotten One himself. But at the brink of seeing his hunt fulfilled and the relic returned, it is stolen from under him.

Great story and concept with a terrible ending
Revisado: 12-23-24
I love the concept and the story. It was rushed and especially and tragically rushed at the end. The ending itself however… I had to go back and listen twice to absorb how absolutely and obscenely ill conceived the ending was. It has very much a GAME OF THRONES season 8 feel to it.

Historia
A weak Cthonian boy forges a bloody destiny among the stars. Tribal warriors hunt a beast in the Fenrisian snows. Prosperine sorcerers seek hidden secrets. The Emperor's Praetorian shows his ruthless side. Alpharius submits to questioning over a brutal campaign, and Mortarion returns to Terra for the first time since his ascension to daemonhood. Each of these six tales provides you with a new look at one of the primarchs, the demigod sons of the Emperor. Once brothers-in-arms, these legendary heroes fell into war and strife, loyalist and traitor.

The mortarion and alpharius stories were incredible! Others were good and few, like the Rogal Dorn one were a little bit let downs…

Among the Best!
Revisado: 08-04-22
The depth of each character in the writing and the delivery of narration is among the best I’ve read or listened to in the 40k universe. It was a truly enjoyable experience. I do prefer the SFX with larger scale stories like this but if think this was still an outstanding story that takes you into the brutality, helplessness and hopelessness of “Great War”. Feels like something you can apply to our world in order to understand the sacrifice of war more completely.
