It's been a long while since the previous installment came out in audio, and I haven't looked at the printed version in a while too, but it's really great to be able to understand the audio. Andre' is one of a kind in this niche of German learning tools through stories.

If you could sum up H Is for Hawk in three words, what would they be?
I haven't finished the book yet, but much as I find Helen's narative deeply honest, beautifully written and touching, and her own narration wonderful (apparently she's had a show on BBC radio for years), I find I am also skipping more and more over the parts in which she recounts TH White's training of his hawk, as the torture his bird had undergone makes me absolutely cringe. I have no problem with another reviewer's warning of the feeding of these prey birds which involves hunting, blood and gore. It's part of nature and I have a great love for wildlife, but the blind, insensible (mostly unintentional) cruelty on White's part is hard to listen to and envision. I wish she had just concentrated on her own story which is very interesting and richly rendered, but I suppose the White counterpart was also an important part of her personal journey.
