I like the book and will get the next one, but

I like the book and the narration which would have been 5 stars ticked me off because of the mixing. If you are walking, driving, or working, it is extremely difficult to hear a two ? of the female characters, If you try to find happy spot to hear everyone, the System's narration leaves your ears ringing, and the MC is that buddy that is yelling half the time when he talks. The best place to listen to this book is a quiet room. Please fix it.

I like the series, but not short stories. The last two books were basically short stories stiched together, occasionally with the pov changed 3 or 4 times.

Better listened to than read.

This review is on the audiobook. When I read it, like a few other reviews, it started to dig at me around the 80% mark, guessing as I read it when it came out. My book review should be down there somewhere. But I almost put it down but I am glad I finished it, and looked up book two online and read a few chapters. It's a good book and the audiobook made it better for me. I am slower to average reader, a visual thinker with a lot of empathy, which made a rough patch in the book last a lot longer than it did in the audiobook. Looking forward to the next audiobook. And in the middle of book 2.

It bounced

The sound levels were hot and cold in the beginning chapters but it was reversed. Normally the female narrator has a cold (quiet) microphone and the guy has a hot mic. But this one was reversed, especially when Bear man was being narrated. Other than that good work all.

At first the narration was over the top, like he was making fun of the story. It didn't last long and he got into the characters. The story is good but I took off my normal 1 star that I reserve for laugh out loud books.

Ticked off at amazon requiring a written review. I have stopped leaving star book reviews due to the required written review. But this book requires it. The book has a few cringe moments and issues with the guild that ticks me off.

This is ticking me off. I stopped giving reviews because I don't want to type out a review, just want to put the stars in. So author's if you see the number of reviews declining, that's why. Amazon pull your head out. Amazon 1 star, this book 4.5. see it went down because my good mood is crashing.

Mixing on the narration was off.

The mixing of the narration is off between the female and male narrators. The female narrator is hot (loud) and the male is cold (quiet). This has been the norm for the last few audiobooks I have listened to.

Not as good.

The book was not as good as the others in the series. Slow starting, lite on story and romance, too heavy on the sex. More humor required. Daniel Wisniewski has a good voice but at the beginning is too melodramatic with a little too much time between some words and to much emphasis on the end of some words. But as the story progresses he mellows out. Rebecca Woods nice job but she is at a disadvantage as she was never a boy pretending to fire a fifty caliber sniper rifle. Ask any boy from 5 to 90 for the sound effect.. it's not bang bang. Can't wait for the next book.
