I love this series but...

I love this series but I hate Laura. So freaking annoying. Overall though, great. Similar to The Alpha by Vall. Love it.

I've liked the entire series up until this point. This book feels much more angsty. The "we want to be together but we can't for some weird reason" thing goes on probably 2/3 of the book. Narrator is cool and story itself would be fine otherwise.

FMC annoying.

The story is good enough, narrator is good, but the female main character is just too annoying. She's just unlikeable. Whines and complains. Couldn't finish it, which for me is very rare.

My favorite part of the book? His made up (different) names for the romance novel hero. I tend to prefer female or duet narrating, but he did a good job.

Wow that was hard.

I will preface this by saying that I'm very easy to please and am extremely accepting when it comes to narration but wow this guy was bad. I have never in my life heard a more monotone voice with no change at all. It really made it hard to pay attention and even tell if the story was ok, even if the idea sounded good. The girl was okay but he definitely overshadowed her. Unless you REALLY don't care how bad the narrator is, skip this. If it sounds interesting, read it.

Female Voices

The actual story is good enough. The Female Narrator puts accents on the characters that sound like a horrible impression of a Hispanic accent or something. I'm usually very relaxed about my narration but it is fairly distracting. If you're particular about your narrators, skip it.

I really liked this one! To me, it had a much better balance of action/romance than a lot of her recent books. Especially as the in last few of these series, the men barely did anything. Great for anyone who likes Stoker's books.

Great book, great narration.

I'm very accepting when it comes to mediocre narration but when it's done well, it stands out. Kira Riley's narration was great. It's a shame it looks like this is the only book she's done on here. But great book as well. I loved both of the books I've listened to of KLs.

Good with a few issues....

The story was interesting and the Narrator did a decent job. A few things stood out to me though. The main character goes off on inner tangents excessively. Almost to where it makes her stupid. It got slightly annoying. The other small thing was with the recording. It got softer and then louder and back repeatedly (throughout the whole series). Didn't ruin it but Noticeable.
