Historia
For Detective Sam Porter, the words "Father, forgive me" conjure memories long forgotten; a past intentionally buried. For Anson Bishop, these three words connect a childhood to the present as he unleashes a truth concealed for decades. Found written on cardboard near each body, these words link multiple victims to a single killer - discovered within minutes of each other in both Chicago and South Carolina - clearly connected yet separated by impossible miles.

Historia
The site of the old campus bungalow where two girls were brutally slain is now a flower patch covered with chrysanthemums. It's been 50 years since the Immaculate Conception Murders. Three more students and a teacher were killed in a sickening spree that many have forgotten. But there is one person who knows every twisted detail... Hannah O'Rourke and her volatile half-sister, Eden, have little in common except a parent. Yet they've ended up at the same small college outside Chicago, sharing a bungalow with another girl.

This audiobook was extremely addicting to listen too. I could not stop listening to it. So many twists and turns, I had no idea where we were going to end up with this adventure. Absolutely recommend this.

Historia
Twenty-five-year-old fitness-instructor Elle has been toiling away in the LA rat race since her teen years with nothing to show for it but a “vintage” apartment (with a permanently clogged toilet), an “alt-comedy” (unemployed alcoholic) boyfriend, and an anorexic coworker who’s constantly surpassing Elle at work because her dad owns the place. While Elle might not have a rich daddy to fall back on, her luck changes when she finds herself being aggressively pursued by a hot, rich 45-year-old man, a.k.a. a zaddy.

I was not sure how I was going to like this Novella. To the very end, I was EXTRMELY entertained and the ending made me look like a psychopath with hiw wide my eye popped open, and my mouth dropped open. I looked like a doofus trying to figure out the ending, and if it really ended like that. Well, it did and it made me laugh loudly. This was great, and loved everything about it.

so, just finished this audible. I am speechless because there is some stuff that that others brought up in their "truth" and some that were not, that makes you question everyone and it makes you wonder who was actually truthful. a very gripping and nail biting book. the ending was perfect, and bitter sweet.

satisfying but still confused

I absolutely loved the book. It was addicting and needed to know what happened every second. Although I am confused to the summary of the book and the actual book itself. Nothing about his daughter was in it.

Confused
Revisado: 06-05-23
I have been listening to all of the Michael Bennett books, as I have become enamored with them. So far this book has been the only one that left a ton of questions, and and the ended felt extremely rushed. I appreciate the development between Mary Catherine & Bennett, but the story shouldn't be rushed to mush them two together. What happened to everyone involved with the underground dinner party? What happened to Starky? What happened to the Ombudsman officers? This story had the potential to be one of my favorites, but the ending just came apart.
