Narrator was great!

This is one of the hardest topics to hear about - but an extremely important one.

One comes to wonder why don’t these women/children run towards a rescuer when they come - yet we have to understand how much these young minds are manipulated. This book does that.
I was invested in the characters. I wanted more on them “where are they now?”

As an adult and mother - I am a fan of this author. She brings many topics from all over the globe to light.

This was one of the funniest and enjoyable “books” I have listened too.
It is more like being a fly in the room with Bob Newhart chatting with some of his famous/funny comedian friends.
They shared funny stories; great chemistry; and audible from tv shows/radio shows/comic stand ups, etc.
I enjoyed this very much.
Thank you for making it an Original.

We all could learn so much on how to be better humans, from wolves

I got this book because I love learning about anything I think I know a little about. However, I fell in love with the stories of all the different wolves and packs that the authors (and other conservationists) were able to view and study.
I do not understand how anyone can be a “wolf hater”. For anyone to set a trap (let alone the worst trap of any kind = a foot trap) right outside of a protected zone, just sounds barbaric to me. Yet it happens over and over again.
The way a wolf mourns; or takes care of their young as a pack; or takes any orphan pups as their own; or regurgitates food for one who is sick; how one will babysit the pups so the mom can go and eat....those are just some of the characteristics I learned from this book that made me more in awe of these beautiful creatures.
Even though they live in a hierarchy, they still stick up and protect their most passive. At the end of the day, everyone wants to see the best for the pups and each other. My hope is for humans to do the same with one another.

Wow. Where do I start?
This was, simply, amazing!
I have been to Arlington Cemetery and so happened upon a ceremony for an ‘Unknown’ soldier. It brought me to tears. It’s eerie knowing how many souls were lost for our freedom.
Now being able to hear about one of our ‘Unknown’ soldiers being ‘brought to life’ .... I have no words.
It has put a spark in me for my uncle - whom all I’ve ever met of him was a picture my dad always has hung up; ever since I can remember.
As well as my in-laws, who are survivors of the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia.
So much drive in me.

I cannot thank the author enough for his hard work on digging up all of this information; as well as to all he came across who are doing so much for our soldiers who perished for us.

I appreciate when Narrators go off from the book to add more for us enjoying in Audible.
David does that...and much more.
The added bonus of some past Chris Farley (behind the scenes) comedy - was HUGE!
I grew up with The Bomb cast of SNL - and I can appreciate great comedians who have put in the work, and continue too.
I am one of David's One point whatever million fans on IG.....lol...so, 'cash me outside; how bout dat!" (listen to the book and you will know what I am referencing)
More from David, please!.....(yes, we are on a first name basis....fyi)
=P

RuPaul has such a calming voice that brings you at ease. She could be saying anything (lol)....and I still felt calm.
This audiobook was such a great pick me up, that I have listened to it a couple of times now.
It is my go to when needing something funny and positive in the background; while here at work.
I truly hope there is another one on the way.
This is great advice, told in her own unique way, that I know will touch someone out there in need of it.
(Thank you, RuPaul....werrrrrk!)

I appreciated how this audiobook was narrated. It started each chapter with a line from the actual Joe Rubinstein - and then read by Richard Rieman afterwards.

Mr. Rubinstein went more in depth in his story than I have read in other WWII tragic encounters with the Nazis. This is not a book you want on with the children in the car (I listened to it after I dropped my daughter off at school and headed to work). He talks about the oppression of the Jewish in these times - but he informs us of the rapes and other mistreatment of the Jewish prisoners (from other prisoners).
He also talks of the ones who were kind to him, risking their own lives, and how they helped many others during that time. This is a very good point for us all: What You Do, Matters.

I am happy he told his story and survived to do so. He is a hero in my book. I appreciate you, Joe Rubinstein.

(I received this book for free thru my Amazon Prime membership)

I am so glad I did. I have purchased the rest in the series.

I fell in love with David Johnson's details of the poor hard-working white American, as my family can relate.

Tucker is such a hard working woman - who we all, in one way or another, can relate too. We protect our loved ones and we "hustle" to feed our families.

Laural Merlington did a great job on the narration as she changed her voices for each character - I appreciate this when it is done in Audiobooks.

I cannot wait to continue listening on to the next four books in this 5 part series.

In depth history of one's life within Scientology

Leah Remini does a wonderful job delivering her voice towards her life (I mean, who wouldn't). But her accent (which I do not think any of our accents from our home towns ever truly leaves us) really accentuates and makes her childhood more real.
She is not preaching about hate for Scientology - but giving us more of a mature adult's point of view of it now.
It amazes me how they worship Tom Cruise - find it kind of scary.
I do not judge on anyone's beliefs or religion. But with one having so much controversy around it and others coming out on how they only wanted their money - it is nice to hear it from a point of view of someone who has money (you know what I mean) and is not afraid any more to speak up for what is wrong.

Nobody can tell ones' story, like oneself. Ms. Lewis proves that.
I fell in love with her acting in 'What's Love Got to Do With it"...."Anna Mae..get yo butt over here!"
Then I saw my first episode of 'Black-ish' in 2014. Ms. Lewis owned that part. She is such a talented actress and this book was wonderful to hear her tell more about her (including movies she has been in, etc) that I never knew.
I loved how she touched on the AIDS epidemic. You could feel her laughter, love, anger and sadness in this book.
We need her to become a narrator for more and more books. She does a wonderful job delivering. * THANK YOU, BLACK JESUS! *
