A longtime fan of Steven King, this was my first foray into an audible format for a book by him. What a great choice! Not at all what I was expecting and yet so much more and so much better. It’s been a few years since I’ve read anything beyond the “classic” King novels, so I really wasn’t certain what to expect. Had he lost his touch? Could he still tell a great story in these modern times when most horror is skin deep and cheap? Would he still be able to keep my interest for a novel of this length (keep in mind I haven’t read his Richard Bachman stuff either)? We’ll, the answers to these questions and more are found on the pages of Fairy Tale. No, Yes, and Yes! I was really bummed when the story ended and I had to say goodbye to Charlie and Radar. It was wrapped up in the best possible way for both worlds, but I would love to hear about Charlie’s adventures and growth in our world at NYU and as a professor at Chicago - especially his thesis and writing career. It all sounds fascinating.
This is a book I highly recommend to all Steven King fans, fiction fans, dark fantasy fans, heck - I’d recommend it to anyone that likes books! Listen to it in audible if you like audiobooks but if old fashioned reading is your style, check out the hardcover or digital editions, but check this out for yourself!

This is another good Hollows story from Kim Harrison. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a lot of Ivy in this story, but then there wasn’t a lot of action and Ivy really only seems to come into play when there is action and now that she has a love interest outside of Rachel, there just isn’t a lot for her to do to further the story. I hope the next book comes out soon and gets back to what makes the Rachel Morgan stories so fun to read.

These are great stories told by a wonderful narrator! These stories just flow off the pages and into your head. They are well told, greatly narrated and just flow magically. I can't recommend them enough if you like magical, slightly haunting stories that flow through time! Highly recommended!

Wonderful prequel!

This is a great prequel for what sounds like a super series! The narration is perfect and makes you feel immersed in the story. The characters, all ghosts, are interesting and develop over the course of the story. I'm excited to listen to the rest of the series when it comes out!
