Written by a new young author???
Revisado: 04-29-20
Narrator did A really wonderful job as he always does, and the "Book" definitely had a great story-line potential. But the whole thing is written in real-time and not so much in a story format. It's hard to focus on the tale, when everything is written present tense instead of past i.e. ("I RUN to the truck to see what guns I Have available"...versus "I ran to the truck to see what guns I had left"),......At least for me.
The author also doesn't give much detail as the story starts to progress either. He just focuses on big things suddenly happening in the plot and skips little details that add to a good story A LOT!!!
I didn't make it through the first hour and a half. I just couldn't force myself to continue cringing.
Waste of a monthly Credit for sure!!!

Instead, the world comes to an end in a series of blue boxes, animals start evolving, and monsters start spawning. Now, he has to survive the apocalypse, get back to civilization, and not lose his mind. Life in the North is book one of the System Apocalypse, a litRPG apocalypse series that combines modern day life, science fiction, and fantasy elements along with game mechanics.

Worst book ever! Total ruin of a story!
Revisado: 03-12-19
I couldn't listen to more than about 10 minutes of this junk claiming to be an audio book. This farce took a wonderful storyline and.....just like the last three "books" involving these characters, destroyed a great story that two original authors built up over many many books.
This audio is full of music and voice acting instead of a narrator reading a story. It's more of an audio drama than an audio book really. Please Don't wast your time or credits like I did!!!

Narrator was very monotone and seemed to have no interest in what he was reading. The "info" was entertaining you might say...but was hard to follow with such a bored voice.

Very hard to follow or hold my interests!
Revisado: 02-12-19
I struggled to finish it. Book dragged on forever without much really going on. The narrator wasn't horrible, but it's hard to narrate a pile of words and make a decent story from it. Overall would have been an okay children's book....not adult or young adult.

great story with a horrible narrator
Revisado: 10-10-18
this is a great story as with all of Anne Rice's books. however the narrator made it hard to concentrate on the storyline. he did okay with different voices and proper annunciation, but he just did not have the correct voice for the Anne Rice books. The rest of the books were read with a French or English accent and this guy sounds like he's from somewhere in the United States and does not really fit as a narrator of a first-person story about a French nobleman.

Historia
Who has not dreamed of life on an exotic isle, far away from civilization? Here is the novel that has inspired countless imitations by lesser writers, none of which equal the power and originality of Defoe's famous book. Robinson Crusoe, set ashore on an island after a terrible storm at sea, is forced to make do with only a knife, some tobacco, and a pipe. He learns how to build a canoe, make bread, and endure endless solitude. That is, until, 24 years later, when he confronts another human being.

Cadence Dear Sir....cadence!
Revisado: 05-14-18
Only three things you need to know about this audio version of a classic....#1.the narrator reads with a soothing voice, but...#2 the rhythm that he reads the story in is very broken up with WAY too many pauses at very unnecessary places. He pauses 2-3 in a sentence making a single thought of Mr Robinson turn into three broken up pieces. #3 He educates people that even an all time classic can be ruined with a bad narration. Over 200 titles listened to, and this is by far the most butchered one I've experienced. Please head the warning!
