I did not think I would like this book and I wondered if I could stay with it until the end; but I am glad that I did, because what a beautiful love story.

This book took forever to get to the meat of the story. Lavelle‘s voice sometimes put me to sleep, but I stuck with it based on his other novel. In the end, I enjoyed the way the story was wrapped up and came away with watch out for trolls even the real life ones that are on the Internet. A little less detail would’ve made this book a four-star story.

I only stuck with this book because I was hoping page after page that it would get better. I stuck with this book because I love Christopher Paolini‘s stories. I’m glad I read “Sleeping” first. I rarely give bad reviews, but this book really was depressing.

Excellent story, phenomenal performance highly recommended. There is a lot of science and math in this story and you don’t have to be a geek of either to enjoy this story that is thoughtful and funny. The ultimate what if tail.

Pamela Terry has woven a tale of Southern secrets so beautifully spun with quotable lines that deserve to be on pillows. This is a sad tale albeit funny at times of the hurts that secrets, the lack of true love and doubt can cause. A well written story that brings the words to life of smell and taste—if one has ever had the pleasure to taste a ripe muscadine.

This is a story of self love born out of shame, pain, fear, and blooming discovery. The depths in which Ms. Davis reveals the discovery of her beautiful being of herself to herself will hit the reader where they are in their own skin and memories of their own journey. I cried, laughed, cringed and recited some lines before she did. This book left me saying over and over —you can never know someone’s story so be kind to every one.

I absolutely adore the easy breezy way Chu weaves a tale of young people navigating life and falling into unlikely (albeit predictable) love. The little additions of pop culture references are such a laugh out loud moments. Without effort, Chu adds humor into the dialogue that makes me want to continue reading about the characters. Soo’s narration is perfect and adds to the whole enjoyable experience.

I love a book that can make me laugh with lines of normalcy from the characters. Witty thoughts made this book enjoyable and recommendable to young and older audiences. Although the indecisions of the main character’s could have been shortened to avoid her sounding childish boarding on annoying—-the story of the
angst in new relationships was sweet.

I was excited to get into this story since it had the perfect elements of my favorite narrator, a southern setting, books and a little horror. However, Hendrix's story from the point of view of a woman fell well short of what any rational woman would do or say--even if they were in the 80's and 90's and expected to be the quintessential southern housewife. I had to force myself to continue when even the most dense of character couldn't pick up on the glaring foreshadowing hints of the narration. The character's lacked the depth that was needed to round out the story to really make the monstrous villain believable. The author skirted ever so close to the offensive lines of stereotypes in color line divide of the south. I wanted more from Patricia the main character. No self respecting woman would ever see her child harmed and decide to go to sleep and wait until morning to decide how to handle the perpetrator, even if he was a blood sucking vampire.

Out of habit, I didn't really know much about the author until I was well into the story, and Mr. Hendrix's portrayal of women missed the mark completely. Thank goodness for the genius voice acting of Bahni Turpin. I would have returned this selection after the first few chapters.
