When our attraction skyrockets, Foster assures me that finding comfort in each other doesn’t hurt anyone. But when it becomes something deeper—meaningful conversations and mind-blowing intimacy—it occurs to me that I might’ve met the right man at the wrong time. Story of my life.

Well-written & well-read
Revisado: 01-01-25
I really enjoyed how the author wrote about difficult, and sometimes triggering situations. It was well-written in the way she made it sound incredibly realistic, but in a way that didn't cast down light on the characters.
As always, Nick J. Russo's narration was perfect. I never had trouble telling the characters apart, and he put his all into making the steamy scenes extra steamy [insert sweating James McAvoy gif]

Truly Terrifying
Revisado: 03-24-24
This book was truly terrifying. The author made the protagonist likeable, yet flawed, which makes her all the more realistic. The story itself unfolds at a perfect pace, and by the end, had me wide-eyed and on the edge of my seat.
The narrator did a great job. She portrayed the emotions in each character really well, and gave them distinct enough voices that I was actually able to tell them apart.

Such a Great Book!
Revisado: 06-23-23
I really adored this book. It was beautiful, sweet, sexy, and even got me a little teary-eyed toward the end. I 100% rec listening to this. The narrators did an amazing job portraying the characters and really bringing them to life.

An Okay Story
Revisado: 06-15-23
The narration, more than anything, had me dying for this book to end. However, the story itself was mediocre, at best. Neither character seemed totally fleshed out, and their relationship came off as confusing and toxic.

Repetitive and predictable
Revisado: 06-13-23
Kale Williams is the only reason I gave this story an overall 3 stars. The sex scenes were incredibly hot, but the rest was just so repetitive.
Not a single chapter passed without someone drinking wine, someone's eyes "twinkling" or "sparkling", and Archer changing his mind about something.
The attempts at angst were weak and came across as predictable and even frustrating at times.
It was overall disappointing.

When you owe money to a powerful mafia kingpin, you find a way to pay it back or you get hurt, and the only thing 26-year-old Jimmy Poe has to offer a man like Boss Cold is himself. Cold agrees to give Jimmy a chance to have his debt cancelled, but it will mean surrendering his body to Cold's rough, ruthless demands every night until the very last penny has been repaid. Over the coming days, Jimmy learns what it means to be truly mastered, and Cold's stern dominance arouses him far more intensely than he would have thought possible.

Fanfiction
Revisado: 06-06-23
I would bet money that this book was once a fanfic about The Flash characters, Barry Allen and Leonard Snart. Other than changing their names, everything sounded exactly like an AU of the series.
Tbh, I have read (and very much enjoyed) fanfiction between Barry & Leonard. However, because of this, everything just sounded lazily written.
I felt like I'd spent money on something I could have read for free on Ao3. Because of this, I ended up returning the book. I wish the author had tried harder to deviate the story into something more than predictable fanfiction.
As for the narrator, he had moments where he sounded incredibly sexy, then others where he sounded just creepy and annoying.
[Disclaimer: I both read & write fanfiction. I have nothing against it, and consider all writing a great skill. I just didn't enjoy this particular story.]

Historia
Tyson Langley thinks the king in Franklin University Kings is in reference to him. Star lacrosse player and God’s gift to the female and male population, there’s nothing the spoiled jock can’t have. It’s impossible for us to be in the same room without talking crap to each other. But I also have a secret…as much as I despise Ty, I want him too. I revel in our banter and in never knowing what he’ll say next. I’ve spent too much time on the wrong side of the law for someone like Ty, though, and if I want to escape my past, he’s a distraction I don’t need.

Better Than I Expected!
Revisado: 06-04-23
I enjoyed this book so much more than I'd anticipated. I'm not usually into college or sports themed stories, so I'm glad I gave this one a try.
Ty and Brax were both flawed yet likable characters, and J.F. Harding really brought them to life.
Despite their personal differences and challenges, the angst was relatively light in this book. The heat between them was epic, but it never came off as unwarranted. I absolutely loved all of it!

My buddies made me do it. I swear. I didn’t plan to bid big on a date with my baseball player best friend at the auction. But he looked really good in that tailored suit, and I can't resist a dare. The media jumps all over the story–the city’s new quarterback nabs a date with the bigshot star shortstop.

Another great listen from Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan. They always make audiobooks more fun to listen to.
The story was a bit predictable at times, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very sexy, had mild angst, and a lovely HEA.

One night with no strings was supposed to be the plan. After barely escaping my last train wreck of a romance, I’ve got a new dating goal—play it cool. I stick to that strategy when I bump into a charming Brit I met once before. He’s newly out and eager for all the things he’s never done, so I make the helpful suggestion we jet off to the city of sin for the night, then say goodbye.

Revisado: 05-09-23
First off, Teddy and James did amazing work together. They really brought life to their characters and made them all the more likeable for it.
The story was fun, sexy, and had moderate angst. I wouldn't say Limited Edition Husband is one of Lauren Blakely's superior books, but I'm definitely glad I read it, and would definitely recommend it to others!

Not a fan
Revisado: 04-17-23
First off, I couldn't stand the narrator. He mispronounced so many words and it drove me crazy. I'm sure it's just the way he speaks normally, but I found it really distracting.
That said, the story itself wasn't great either. I'm all for flawed characters, but no one in this book was truly likeable. The relationship between Rain and Danny was all over the place and it never came off as authentic, or that they actually cared about one another.
I hate leaving negative reviews, but I had to get this off my chest.
